    @insagt1 if Duran doesn’t throw the ball in the dirt. Thats a K and the game was over. That was the biggest worst pitch of the season.

    This is a nice rookie class but way too early to say maybe the best. The team still has holes to fill next year. Lee, Austin, Festa and company could be a nice rookie class as well.

    Our overall pitching is still well above average. The playoff roster will have starter quality guys in the bullpen so I’m not really worried about pitching. We seriously need to DFA Gallo and Luplow and upgrade those 2 roster spots.

    I doubt the twins will decide to go younger as they layoff time creeps closer. It sucks cause Gallo and Luplow are just fillers where as the youngsters are exciting and talented. Randy Arozarena played out of his mind a couple years back when no one knew who he was. Austin Martin could have the same effect but nope. We got a Luplow.

    MLB literally sets it up so we could shuffle AAA into the lineup at any time for anyone on the 40man and has options. The use and mgmnt of our bullpen has been borderline criminal.

    There should be a goal to have 5-6 viable mid rotation or higher pitchers available in April every season. The Dobnaks and SWRs of the organization should be spot starters at best or brought up in the bullpen rotation game. It would be great to have Gray and Maeda back next year but chances are that one or both will be gone. Fine, sign a big name front of the rotation starter FA or trade for one. Im confident that Paddack, Ryan, Ober and Lopez will be lights out. Add both Gray and Maeda to that and we could win 100 games next year as the youngsters mature at the plate. With that being said. If Kuekel gets hammered again. Cut him. Bring up Dobnak for a start and see what he can do.

    Something must not have clicked at 1B during those 180 innings for Julien. The best way to hide his bad Defense is to make him the DH in 8 out of 10 games. When Buxton gets back. Put him in CF. Let him play in a wheelchair if he needs one or just DL buxton for the rest of the year. We got a large enough sample size that says he sucks at DH. Possible due to injuries or just mentally incapable of focusing on just hitting. Either way, he sucks at it. Julien might just be the guy that excels at just hitting. Gee… thats what a DH is for. Play him there and watch his OPS of .980 climb.

    @DocBauer Great insight as per usual! I got no issues with paying Mahle $3M to rehab but I doubt they will do that. I’m probably wrong about that tho. I just hope they get 5 strong starters with viable options for 6-8 when injuries happen.

    Maeda 2 yr 25M with team option for 3rd yr. Gray QO so we get a draft pick cause he wants out of here. Meh on Mahle. Horrible trade! Move on and get one more young arm rotation out of AAA. We got 4-5 guys to rotate into that 5th starter slot.

    Welp, Jenkins just showed up as the #16 prospect in MLB. Lee #18. If Jenkins is for real, he will probably be on the varsity in 2025.

    True, I’m on the Castro bandwagon. Id prefer to move on from polanco and Kepler but I doubt the twins would do that. Right now, I don’t see a young guy making a jump to MLB early next year.

    Begs the question, who is our starting OF’s next April? Wallner Buxton Kepler? Gordon and Larnach as the 4th and 5th? Perhaps one of the kids in AAA?

    We are smack dab in the middle of a youth movement and playoff bound. The FO needs to have kudos from the fans for dealing with above ave injuries and signing a couple key veteran backups (not gallo). I will always put Lewis at #1 because of his attitude and injuries. We need him in the lineup every day!! Keep Castro around and bring up Lee next year. Lets get younger and better!!!

    @jishfish I’m the overly optimistic guy that sees a way that AAA could happen next year with Walker, he has 2 months to fine tune some development in Florida this year and lets say he starts out in Low A next April/May, he may be so far advanced that it would be a waste to keep him there so he goes right to Iowa by June. Lets just suppose he rakes so well there for 60 days that the organization says to him. We are promoting you to AAA just to show you that pro ball isn’t this easy. Prove us wrong. Doubtful path but anything is possible. 19.5 yrs old playing for the Saints.

    Everything seems to scream winner when Walker is playing. If anyone player can fast track to MLB in the twins org, its gonna be Walker. I bet he is playing in AAA by next August. The guy is a STUD.

    Julien had a .692 obp against the Dbacks. 4 walks , 3 K’s. He must have had flashbacks to the AFL 2022. DH is looking 👀 goooood on him!!

    Its Pohlads $$ and it was well spent. The investment is still paying off and will for generations. Anyone that questions Joes value to Minnesota sports needs to few courses in economics, sports psychology, sociology etc…

    @Puckett34 no need to DFA anyone, trade gallo for a prospect which will open up a roster spot. Work out the other roster spots as needed. Lewis will most likely get his shot at sticking at 3rd. Polanco hopefully returns to health and Julien can DH while buck changes diapers….

    @puckett_34 so we need a 3rd baseman for a couple weeks. Bringing Lee up provides both him and the Twins with playing time and developmental data. No one will ever convince me that Lee doesn’t have the talent to play 3rd in mlb.
