  1. The perfect trade would be no trades. Bring up Lee and work him into the team in mid August. Same with David Festa or any other hot hand in the minors. …. Well except that bucket of baseballs for Gallo, that would be a win/win.
  2. Thats definitely doable! If out pitching holds up, I would bet that we could get 37-40 wins.
  3. I just researched his stats and Pagan is actually having a good season! RP’s are definitely volatile. I’m going to give him props for figuring out whatever he did and for mgmnt putting him in places to succeed! I am actually quite surprised at some of stats compared to last season.
  4. awe memory lane! Its cool how players come and go as life moves on! I dont think we will sell much this year as we are in a power position that we haven’t really been in for decades. Our pitching is solid. But with a hole or two that probably won’t get filled via trade. We have a weird outfield mess of vets and youngsters that might be ok in October. The infield has an even stranger combo of vets and injuries and youngsters. If the right deal goes down, so be it but don’t expect much change via trade this year. The biggest question, does any team want to match up with our pitching in the first round?
  5. Its been a minute since he gave up a small lead. I trust Balazovic more that Pagan but its nice to see mgmnt using the players to their best abilities. I’ll tip my hat to Pagan if he doesn’t blow a hold for the rest of 2023.
  6. As of right now, the Twins are the only team in MLB with 8 wins in the last 10 played. Wait…. What?
  7. Please dont let Pagan pitch in a high leverage spot for the next series. Lightning doesn’t strike twice….
  8. Straight up for Otani. Otani signs with us for 8 years $500,000,000.00. Otherwise. Hell to the no. Nope. NOPE.
  9. You want weird? Just bring up Brookes Lee from AA and give him 3rd base until RL returns. If Lee is the real deal, keep him here….
  10. Tell me again how batting average isn't a good indicator. Rocco is obviously putting Julien into positions that he can have success…. Nice job Rocco!
  11. I was a huge Willy Castro detractor. He simply didn't seem much different from other utility players and I figured Gordon would continue to develop and mature. Wellllll, Castro seems to be that guy instead (at least for 2023). Some guys just bloom late and some guys burn out early. Right now, it would be a huge mistake to put Castro or any of the young studs on the bench and play the returning from injured list vets. We are witnessing a growth cycle in the youth movement in the Twins org. This season has been painful to watch at times with vets trying to hang onto their career. If the lineup was managed based solely on “what have you done for me lately.” They would likely have 6-8 more wins and would be on the verge of running away with the central. Castro is here to stay until he isn't. Don’t hold onto him with he stops being productive. The next guy up will fill his shoes just fine but that will be 2024 or 2025. Or 26-27. Until then, enjoy the young mans effort. He is fun to watch!!

  13. And let that cost ride pine while the rookie shines.
  14. It definitely takes a lot of luck to be successful in the amateur draft!! I believe Lee will be on the Varsity team next year! Either out of training camp or mid may as we are notorious for manipulating service time. I wish they would promote Lee to AAA yesterday and Varsity for a playoff run this Sept/Oct. I’d bet serious $$$ that Walker Jenkins and Charlee Soto will be the best of the best of MN draft picks turned MLB stars that were taken early in the drafts. Thank god they didnt go with another Sabato type and instead went with Soto!!
  15. I saw something where our farm system dropped to 27th and is top end heavy. (Post draft 2023). I believe whoever wrote that is participating in Minnesotas new found freedom to get lit. I believe we are just outside of the top 10. Im also confident that 3 of the college pitchers taken this year will be making varsity impact in 2025 along with Raya and SWR. Balazovich and Canterino are the wild cards and they have taken longer to get where they should have been but that happens. As far as CF, I think its going to be a rotating door for at least another 3 seasons.
  16. Speaking of the Marlins, Polanco could help them out as they will actually have a chance to win a series or two this October. It would be nice to trade Polanco and get some sort of decent prospect for him.
  17. We have been horrible against LH pitchers like the one that is starting today so if we can rattle him and win “not so ugly”, we might be able to infer actual success that may stick with the team for the remainder of 2023.
  18. Is it possible that Jax just becomes a one inning set up man like Senór Smoke back in the day? At this point, don’t mess with his success!!
  19. Wellll. We have went from grotesque losses to winning ugly. Seems like a vast improvement in the hitting/scoring runs strategy. ….and the future stars in the farm system are crushing it. Its finally WINNING baseball season!!
  20. We got a nice game out of Kep and Gallo last night so the timing of dumping them is perfect as they won’t do shat for another 13 games or so…
