    We are forbidden, by NCAA and University policy, from interacting with coaches at all. There’s another layer of management that does that. I’m tutoring Mathematics and Computer Science. Mostly a bunch of beginning Python programmers at the moment.

    So here in lovely Minnesota, one of my part-time semi-retired jobs is as a tutor at the University of Minnesota, specifically for the student athletes. Right now is a particularly dead time, with the hockey team competing for the championship and the Spring-Summer teams ramping up. Gophers on the run; I expect an influx of students after midterms. :)

    The situation is such that I would not choose to miss a game because ‘so-and-so’ is starting today so why bother. I’d be okay watching any of these starters and thinking it will be a competitive game.
