  1. So I used to walk across the bridge to the Metrodome. Going to Target Field more than once a year is just too bloody expensive. Going as part of a group with the pub crawls is fun; might consider that again if there’s one this year.
  2. I can’t speak for the teams, but I don’t miss Donaldson at all.
  3. I’ll go with ‘keep winning most of the time’ until he comes back.
  4. I'm curious to hear proposals for alternatives. Maybe with some reasoning to back them up. Otherwise, I'll just say 100+ games is better than less than 100.
  5. With Paddock down Bundy returns until Ober is ready, then one of them moves into the long relief role formerly occupied by Winder.
  6. So if a Twins player has a Target logo on their uniform, will the opposing pitchers be able to take aim?
  7. I believe the slogan was, “Give away the razors; sell the blades.”
  8. The Dodgers are the better team right now. This isn’t too complicated. Things may change; things always change.
  9. If we’re lucky, Archer can do what Ervin Santana did. Okay, very lucky. Really, really lucky.
  10. And if you put a little jelly on top you may have currant concurrent concurn't.
  11. I figured it was some Freudian cigar envy of the NFL.
  12. I like the pitch clock, but it must be exactly 18.46 seconds.
  13. “As Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic outlines, local television contracts don’t call for rebates from teams until roughly 25 games are lost. Jeff Passan of ESPN adds some specifics, writing that avoiding rebates requires broadcasting between 138 and 150 games (with slight team-to-team variation). That plays into the owners’ ability to hold out, as does the general fact that their wealth considerably outpaces that of the players. In cold-weather states, April is a relatively poorly attended month anyhow — at least after the early rush of the opening series.” https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/mlb-television-deals-25-missed-games.html
  14. I’m sure he weeps all the way to the bank.
