  1. FWIW, some behavioral research on children shows that the 'machismo' type of behavior among young boys can start as early as 4-5, with reactions towards their mothers and sisters. Some gentle education needs to start way before entry into the educational system, per se. I rather prefer the idea of the social setting of the bonobo, our other closest genetic relative.

Admire the accomplishments, learn not to repeat the really terrible behavior. And challenge that behavior when you see it in yourself or those around you. I fight this battle and you do too. Ultimately, maybe the problem is belief itself. Doubt and question more. You may not like what you find, but that’s just too bad.
