    I'd say give it a shot. You know pretty much what Carroll and Casilla bring, and until Rosario is ready to come up you might as well keep auditioning. PS - hopefully Escobar gets called up in Sept. to push Dozier as well.

    Not just this season, if I recall. It is one of the few real weak spots in his game. Also, you get the feeling this is a guy with the power to hit 10-15 homers a year; about the same as Mauer.

    Who else is surprised to see this game 1-0 in the 6th? I'd have thought maybe 6-5. Both men throwing well.

    The real problem creeps in when all of those other voices start sounding like Skip Bayless.

    If you get a great offer, take it. If you don't, wait until the offseason. I'm actually far more interested in seeing if they can get anything for Pavano and Capps, which is going to take a bit of time to develop.

    Not if they make the best offer. And in the case of Liriano, as a free agent he goes where they make the best offer at the end of the year. So it really doesn't matter.

    I think they've got him confused with Jeri Ryan.
