  1. Count me in. I belong to the "need two good SP to contend next year" crew. Hopefully Gibson can be one and a decent FA signing can be the other. The lineup looks pretty solid now.
  2. Yup, when Sir Rodney and Tony O. were the best show in town. I don't really expect Trout to fall, but these two can chase the silver and bronze.
  3. Also, we're in Minnesota. The papers in Florida probably cover Latin American countries more thoroughly. Of course, in New York they only cover New York, since the rest of the world does not exist.
  4. And there is only one error charged on that? What was it; throwing the pitch in the first place?
  5. This. When it drags the team down it's not acceptable. I'm fine with sending Dozier down for a few weeks when Plouffe comes off the DL, though. See if Bruno can jump start him again. Carroll is a perfectly good SS until then.
  6. Maybe testing the waters for Parmelee isn't a bad idea. There's a good chance the future at 1st base for this team after Justin is Mauer followed by Sano.
  7. "Just the place for a Snark!" the Bellman cried,  As he landed his crew with care; Supporting each man on the top of the tide  By a finger entwined in his hair.
  8. Yeah, give him the same week or so Valencia received. If there's improvement, great. If not, get him out of here. At least off the 40 man.
  9. Maybe a giant "Circle me Bert" sign would work there.
  10. Hope he knows how to make a safe pivot now.
  11. He put on an absolute clinic on playing 3rd base in this game. Hope Valencia was paying attention. Plouffe, too, from back home.
  12. I'm hoping Dozier could reach a level near Greg Gagne; that would be perfect for this team. Hard to tell if his defense can ever reach that point.
  13. You're asking if I can read Gardy's mind? Hahahaha. I need a beer.
  14. It's also fair to think there needs to be more than one guy in the pen capable of getting an out.
  15. Yeah, the arrival of Escobar makes that quite likely. Heck, even Nishioka will compete for the utility infielder spot next year.
  16. It's what they redirect to stream to the MLB app on a smartphone.
  17. It would of course be epic if he went to Yankee Stadium and threw this same kind of game. He'd never have to win again to be a Twins legend.
  18. Yup, a truly hilarious and memorable moment, overshadowing the Rat's big game. People take this kids game far too seriously these days. I'm sure there would be a Congressional inquiry.
  19. I love those minor league stats: 780 IP, 39 HR, 81 hit batsmen. More and more I like this guy.
  20. Well I guess that settles it then.
  21. I auppose if players were only a bunch of stats on paper, that would be a law of nature. But some of them are also human beings with egos, and sometimes it's useful to feed them.
  22. And three outs to go with it. If Deduno ever got that fastball across the plate a lot of people could de-angst about Liriano.
  23. Of course he's also calling a one hit shutout from a wild pitcher through five innings.
