  1. Yes, it's a thread about the moderation of this site.
  2. Oh, sorry, did I forget to ask permission first before expressing a thought? Excuuuuse me. One thing the other two sites mentioned above have in common is that they're both gone now. I support and applaud the desire of the founders of this site to avoid the same fate.
  3. Tony Oliva career OPS: 830 Kirby Puckett career OPS: 837 Kent Hrbek career OPS: 848 (Baseball reference .com) Pretty heady company. I don't think Parm is quite at that level. Maybe more like Tom Brunansky career OPS : 761
  4. It would be a fine and dandy thing if the folks here who can't let go of the past would create a site of their own where they can relive it ad infinitum. The rest of us who weren't involved with it thank you profusely.
  5. Thank you, Seth. And John and Parker. Nick too, although I didn't get the chance to meet you. I'm pretty sure the problem getting the game was a Comcast thing, since other people in the area were having trouble too. One of the 612 employees eventually got it streaming to his laptop, and hooked that up to the big screen. That was about the 5th inning, so meh. Anyway, great beer, nice people. I can't complain. Didn't have to go very far to get there, though.
  6. Hope to be there. Sounds like lotsa fun.
  7. Hicks and Sano both flashing good leather and strong throws. Very encouraging.
  8. Comcast in Minneapolis and I'm getting it on 23.
  9. And he's starting the championship game tonight against Puerto Rico. Good luck, Samuel.
  10. No doubt the three mentioned cover the three main eras of Twins (post-Senators) history, and are true faces of the Twins. But I can also think of a couple of other faces that span all three eras quite nicely: Tony O. and Bert.
  11. When you're a guest in somebody's house, you follow their rules. If you can't respect your host(s) enough to do that, you may be shown the door. It's not too fricking complicated.
  12. According to a Phil Miller tweet, tomorrow's lineup should have Mastroianni, Hicks, and Benson all starting in the outfield. Also the return of Plouffe. Pelfrey is the lucky starting pitcher. Should be a good listen.
  13. You really want to treat this thread as a joke?
  14. I wonder if Kickstarter would be an option for them.
  15. Maybe that's why they were saving Molitor.
  16. Watched it yesterday. Really like that kid. I wouldn't want to be a Pirates pitcher when he gets to play against them.
  17. Good stuff! Thanks for the link.
  18. Of course, if people would stop and think for 30 seconds and try moderating themselves before hitting that old reply button... We'd have Satchmo singing "What a Wonderful World."
  19. I'm thinking Doumit, especially if Mauer catches a few more games this season. My favorite hope for the bench is only carrying twelve pitchers, and call ups if a guy gets hurt, and not the eternal day to day status.
  20. I suspect it's because some of this stuff carries into thread after thread after... It gets on people's nerves after a while.
  21. Of course, it couldn't possibly have anything to do with external factors. http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/consumer/cash-strapped-global-consumers-spent-and-saved-less-in-q4-2012/ Nope.
  22. http://thebeetreporter.blog.com/ The beet reporter...
