I may be mistaken, but I think Walters and Deduno may be out of options. If that's the case, I'd predict Walters goes to the bullpen and either Theilbar or Fien goes to Rochester.
Huh, me too, although the truths hidden in these numbers is often pretty gray. I would say that Huff should be mandatory reading for anyone who argues baseball statistics.
I think Gibson's arm has shown a lot of durability this year, as witnessed by the complete game shutouts racking up 100+ pitches. He shouldn't be pushed another hundred innings, but if they were really fretting about it I doubt they'd have let him do that.
Here's the thing with Baker; remember those at bats that would last forever because the pitches were up and the hitters would hit foul after foul. That just killed his pitch count and made for short starts. Gibson looks to be more of a ground ball than fly ball type, and maybe can keep the ball down and get quicker outs.
Well, we're all guests here, after all. I suppose if a guest doesn't like the way a party host does things they could try a different party, or even consider throwing one of their own.
I guess we'll find out soon enough. I hope he gets through July and August before being shut down, and then maybe Worley or Hendriks takes over the spot in September.
I'm not affected by most of the complaining. Instead there's a lot of "This message is hidden because person xyz is on your ignore list." Sometimes whole pages full. Tolerance has a best friend. My real concern is that if the owners of the site get too aggravated, the Off switch is usually pretty easy to find and push.
Depends on his control; I would think he's better off starting an inning than coming into situations with runners on base. That could limit his usefulness as a reliever.
That would be cool beyond belief. Almost like reality, and one can interpret the play by themselves without having everything 'splained to the point of lobotemizing.
I don't think it's a question of pitch count as much as it is most of these guys don't have the stuff to fool a batter the third time through the order. Maybe they need to adjust rhythm or something to shake things up a bit to get that elusive last inning.
