  1. Does that automatically buy him more playing time?
  2. Is Gallo worse than Sano was? Seems like he get's a "pass" where as Sano would have had "total system failure" assigned to him.
  3. Great month but most games were against the worst teams. Lost too many against the Orioles to make me think they can win the ALC. The remaining games against Cleveland are huge. The rest of the schedule they could play .500 or better but it is going to be close if they lose the Cleveland series’s. Finally the number of strikeouts is beyond ridiculous and going to be a factor.
  4. Answer from Falvey is irritating. He has us Twins Fans speculating again. Would be nice to have a few names. I could have given that "stock" answer.
  5. It pretty much helped with the win. But I didn’t think he was getting back up. The slide didn’t look bad or dangerous and that was depressing in so many ways. What is use of him getting on base if can’t make it home.
  6. I think it is super glued shut with this FO including the Pohlad’s. IMO on the whole roster there are maybe 5-6 players of MLB talent and most on the pitching staff. Correa seems to be improving however his salary will hurt the ability to sign any above average players. To me it seems the same old story of signing a big name 35 or older hoping for a magic bean. I was just thinking how sad it is when most focus is placed on getting to know minor league signings and knowing the Twins track record on developing players. By the time they get to the majors or close to they are already injury prone. We had one season (2019) where it felt like the window was opening but pretty much slammed shut again after 2020.
  7. Pablo is similar to Arraez, was it worth it for 13-14 games. Also not quite sure yet if he is that good or at least not as good as Arraez would have been for this team. No doubt Berrios wanted out. If I were a good player I wouldn’t want to spend the prime of my career here. What makes it bad are the players we got back. Doesn’t instill much confidence in the FO’s ability to spot talent. I think they rushed it a bit!
  8. The worst for me was Berrios trade, second Arraez, 3rd was Hicks.
  9. Never going to happen with a manager that doesn't have any instinct, it i all about what his tablet is telling him which is needed but with a combination of rolling with what was working the last 2 games. It wasn't even a home game where I can kind of see Buxton in the lineup just for the fans. VERY PERPLEXING!
  10. Nothing left to say except maybe see if playing CF will help. His injuries can’t get worse and if they do time to start contemplating medical retirement.
  11. First I would get him back in the field and see what happens, This DH is not working for him or the Twins, If he goes back on the IL so be it, but at least give it a shot,
  12. Sadly I don't think he is going to get healthy. They should put him in CF and hope for the best. I am 100% sure that is what he wants. He wants to contribute. If I were him I would tell Rocco he is playing CF and just go out and stand there until they forcibly move him.
  13. I think questioning anything about Buxton is off limits to the press in post-game interviews by Rocco.
  14. Seems most were always hard on Sano vs Buxton. We all want Buxton to succeed no doubt but everyday, every at bat seems his success is not going to happen. I think we all know his knee is NOT going to get better but no idea why that would affect his at bats. If it is a back injury it will be even more devastating, I really don't think moving him long term to the IL (perhaps the rest of the year) would help. I feel they are still looking at him as the face of the franchise/ticket seller. I think it is hurting his reputation and maybe his health which IMO is not going to get better, They should just put him in CF as I don't think this DH thing is going to get better even if they make the playoffs. Oh well I really hope the best for him and maybe it is worth the DH spot just to keep a fan favorite in the line-up. Thankfully Correa is doing a bit better his last 30 days at least. His BA is .269 over the last 30 games but it will be hard to pull it up overall now. He is at .232 for the year which doesn't look great. Hope he can keep up the .269 or even better for the rest if the season. Solano, Julien, AK, Jeffers and Polanco should play consistently. The outfield is harder to decide. No stand outs for sure, probably time to bring up some AAA players, They should give Wallner RF and see what he has. Is Larnach still in the long term plans? Play him instead of Gallo and for CF get Buxton out there now or at least give it a shot. I don't think his health can deteriorate much more. And try to sign a true DH, Wouldn't it be something if they went after and signed Ohtani!!!!!!
  15. Probably the craziest thing to say ever and my answer would be “Why would they do that”. So here goes…Is it possible that they purposely ruin players? Looking back , they have been able to offload some of the best to other teams, but have ruined most 1st round draft picks. Mauer, Sano, Buxton, Gordon and it seems Royce Lewis is going down the same path. Some like Wallner and other talented players are kept back. Okay let me have it🏟️⚾️
  16. Buxton’s numbers are atrocious the last 30 games .146 with 39 strikeouts! It seems like this subject is off-limits in post game interviews. I don’t understand how his injuries affect making contact with the ball. I can’t watch on TV but it doesn’t seem like he is fighting off pitches. How often does he watch the last strike? Missing the pitch is not good either. Is something wrong with his eyes? It seems unexplainable.
  17. Jeffers to DH for Buxton next at bat 🙏
  18. I was excited when I first saw this but they don't say what is being done? They have also said it is not getting better and doesn't look like it will. Very mixed messages. I think he needs to go out and if necessary learn to play with any pain he has, if not then time to retire.
