  1. What possible statistic would make Rocco ccput Gallo in the lineup instead of MAT.
  2. What possible statistic has Gallo playing over MAT
  3. I don’t know that he performs “better than a lot of the guys”. I was thrilled when they signed him the first time. This time not so much because of the optics he would rather play for a different team and we were kind of like a last resort. But was expecting WAY more out of him. In today’s line up he has the 2nd lowest BA only Gallo is lower.
  4. Lewis would best at starting SS? They have Correa slotted for that position but something is clearly wrong with him unless it is a simple as his good days are over? The reason for my angst is he was passed up by SF and NY because they clearly saw injuries and maybe that is what caused this downturn and our brilliant FO doesn't want to admit they may have made a mistake? Seems we got a pretty ugly version of CC.
  5. I would not do this. Wait until 2024 season end and see if he is able to stay healthy.
  6. Should say first half of the 2nd half. He has been better since the All-Star break but he could easily slide back. Funny but he and Gallo have the most HR's on the team. Gallo's BA is atrocious, Kepler, .240, is that good? On this team it is. Same old conversation every year.
  7. That is hilarious! The Twins can make most pitchers look like CY Young candidates
  8. I wanted a big bat so they can sit underperforming players regardless of their names. The young ones doing well are fighting for a place in the line up. Others with "secure" positions in the line-up seem to be horrible.
  9. It is getting old for sure. I think this continues to be a topic because his future will probably be short lived but that is never discussed by the FO. Going on the IL after legging out a double???? Try outfield one more time and if he really gets injured in the outfield then we can live with that. The DH role is killing us and I am sure he is not thrilled either
  10. What good does it do to do this. They won't have a down the stretch with moves like this "Ober had bounced back from a rough start to the outing. Having retired eight in a row, he rebounded well. Baldelli indicated that limiting innings for him down the stretch will be a thing, and tonight this was the spot."

  12. 5+ game hitting streak. After the player only meeting win streak why would you change the lineup. The last few games we had to shake our heads wondering the reason for pinch hitting. Just today Farmer was 2/3 and lifted him for Kepler who promptly struck out.?
  13. There has to be a happy median. I think Rocco depends totally on analytics and not his gut feelings.
  14. The only reason I disagree is because a player or certain line-up shouldn't be changed if they are on a roll. You cannot predict how a hitter would do or we would not have 90% of our lineup striking out.
  15. I don't think CF is too dangerous for his health. He can get hurt in many situations. I think it will be awesome for him and his confidence. I will be awesome for the Twins to have a better bat a DH. The whole team needs to work on strike-outs or all could be for none with Buxton
  16. We haven’t seen Austin Martin yet and I am very concerned about Lewis’ health. I don’t want Polanco gone but I would like to see him succeed on a team where he is appreciated. Rosario has had success in playoffs and just named NL player of the week. Many were so down on him.
  17. Always so quick to let players go and as much as would hate to lose Polanco, I would be happy if he landed on a competitive team. Arraez Hicks Rosario (current NL player of the week) Berrios (pretty good and injury free) Suzuki (he hung around for a long time and played many games. His hitting was decent) Escobar
  18. I won't get excited at all until they are done playing Cleveland. Strikeouts over the week have been a horrible stat.
  19. Got the win with 16 strikeouts. Amazing!
  20. I bet he is hoping for a trade. Bet many would be quite happy to be on a different team.
