  1. Not trying to be snarky but if he is all that is left time to bring up someone from St Paul. Couldn't be worse could it?
  2. Second night in a row they put Gallo in late in the game, is that what Rocco’s tablet is telling him to do?/
  3. Absolutely!!!!! It would be even better if Buxton came back and playing CF. If he does not, I am not quite as confident. Remember (in previous years) when we used to get all worked up when he was out or not in the lineup and the team was truly better with Buxton in the line-up? This year is exactly opposite and now the team is worse with him in the lineup. Absolutely devastating to think this way!
  4. I think they should be wary of Lewis staying healthy enough to stay in the lineup and have a very good backup plan. This team is such “when and if” team. Very frustrating.
  5. It is perplexing and super frustrating. Especially when we are constantly reading articles about the great prospects. It is worth it to start seeing what we will have next year.
  6. That is interesting!
  7. I would rather they bring up Austin Martin to see what we got for Berrios but I am guessing they want to hide that gaffe. He is 24 so time to sink or swim! Or will he be another player that will be injury prone by the time (or if) he gets here.
  8. Was thinking about how often announcers say ‘with the top of the lineup coming up” the Minnesota Twins have to be the laughing stock of the entire league. How many teams have such a joke of “top of the lineup” like the Twins.
  9. Gotta go with Rocco. Mostly putting the lineup together. Almost 100% sure Buxton would not be an everyday player on most teams, using him as a DH just to have our face of the franchise in the lineup add having our weakest hitters at the top of the lineup. FAILURE to motivate the team. He seems more than happy with how they are doing. Not many fans on this board would keep our jobs with this kind of performance.
  10. No joke! They shouldn’t get injured so easily. Swinging and running to 1st? How can that cause a trip to the IR? Going to go out on a limb and say strengthening their core should prevent many of these guys going down with muscle injuries.
  11. The Twins would be best to spend money on personal trainers to condition these players in the off-season. Make it mandatory and if they don't comply they don't play.
  12. I also had this and all it took was wearing good shoes and a little PT. It was gone in just a few weeks. These players need to start taking care of themselves year long. I have 2 competitive high level gymnasts and except for an awkward fall (it was horrifying to see) they have never been out with nagging injuries. I attribute that to the number of hours they condition. The pounding their bodies take is huge. A few have retired or been sidelined with back issues, They practice 5 days a week for 5 hours a time and much of that time is conditioning and I mean tough conditioning. It strengthens their core to avoid all these crazy things the Twins players are so supsestable to. Seriously should not incur a 10 day IL trip just running to 1st base.
  13. I am terribly afraid Lewis will be our next broken down once hopeful player.
  14. Doesn't seem like Cleveland wants it either. Going for a draft pick?
  15. As a bit of defense for the pitchers, it would be nice if the offense could score more runs to give the pitcher a nice cushion to work with
  16. Sadly Buxton probably won't turn out what we hoped for. So looking at the rest of the year and next. Who are the power hitters that would serve the team well as a DH?
  17. Me too. Pretty much given up on this team. Especially the pathetic offense. Guys we counted on are horribly disappointing. Fun to watch Waller, Julien and Kirilloff. Extremely concerned about Lewis with all of his injuries. Especially this last one where he got injured just by running. Pitching staff started out exciting but the offense has really let them down. Pitching with a lead has been rare and many times they can’t even muster up a few runs to take the pressure off the pitcher.
  18. Which "established major league talent" are you referring to? I do not believe a single one of them is expendable. The few productive bats are the young ones.
  19. We need to seriously hope he isn't made of glass. IMO this team needs a strict conditioning program that focuses on strengthen their core.
  20. I am actually okay with this as long as they spend the rest of the season seeing what the young kids have. I don't think sitting any of the veteran's would be terribly missed or game changing, especially if the are batting below .250.
  21. What can they do with Buxton? Let him go in as a DH occasionally? Put him in CF and if he can’t hack it figure out something. He is hurting this team as a DH. But most of the lineup up is inconsistent or just bad.
  22. Why can't we have any thing bigger? Is it no big name player will come here? Are they cheaping out? We are back to the left over table once again and if they don't do anything by end of day they need to grab some great players during the off season or we will be having these discussions at the time next year.
  23. Crickets from the owners on this disaster. They are happy with the status quo
