  1. Two things that happened yesterday. First was the update on his non-return or mostly likely will never play CF again. Even though the news is more than devastating it is about time they gave the fans an update so we no longer have to speculate. I know it is not much but he did get a couple hits and RBI's yesterday. Unfortunately with the non-trade he will be the DH for a long time. This will most likely lower the chances of winning games, the Division or a play-off run. I guess it is what it is. I am so happy they let us know.
  2. Buxton had a good article on MLB. He gives us a glimmer of what is going on with him. He say's he feels great. “I still feel great,” Buxton said. “It just ain't going the way I want it to, you know? Just probably doing a little more guessing and not trusting what I'm doing right now. But if you don't feel like your swing is there, that's what you tend to do. Got a good idea now of where I want to be, and it better be good. I’ve got to stay positive.”
  3. Thanks for the lecture! My issue is how he sugar coats the whole situation and never admits how bad they are or holds himself or others accountable. Just touchy feely the are going to get better.

  5. Are these numbers really that good? Especially what we gave up for him: W L ERA G GS SV IP SO WHIP 2023 Regular Season 3 4 4.4 15 15 0 90 110 1.14 Career Regular Season 31 35 4.01 109 109 0 600 599 1.18
  6. Fun read both about Arraez and expectations that were/have been set. "The last time the Marlins were 11 games over .500, they had a different name, uniform and ballpark. Hit machine Luis Arraez was playing Little League ball in San Felipe, Venezuela. Eury Pérez was 6 years old." Luis Arraez gets five hits as Marlins win fifth straight (mlb.com)
  7. Statements like "this is unacceptable", calling out the veteran leaders making the big $$$. I think maybe he is not allowed to express his true feelings? But many fans are feeling like they think this is good enough or acceptable or even fixable.
  8. I guess it would be better if the Pohlad's would do a press conference that addresses some of the frustration we are feeling. Imagine how George Steinbrenner would have said or what he would have done by now. Pretty sure Rocco and the FO would no longer be employed. He wouldn't sugar coat the situation we are in.
  9. I listened to his post-game interview and his lack of concern about strike-outs and the horrible hitting was maddening. He made it seem like the are one game away from turning this around!
  10. Way past time to let him learn and take his knocks. How else will he improve. Not like we have an amazing team and he is causing them more losses. Plenty of bonehead defensive mistakes from many others
  11. Pretty sure he is told/coached to say that,
  12. I would go for lack of leadership or motivation.
  13. Just like with Mauer the fans would have went ballistic if they wouldn't have resigned him. This is like re-living that nightmare all over again. Mauer was able to get in a few more years when he went to 1st and he wasn't taking the all important DH spot. Buxton gets hurt no matter what he is doing, I like him but I think health wise he is 100% done. I would at least give him one last shot in CF to see if he can be the player we fell in love with. If not sure what other option they have but to release him. Just a guess but instead I think the Pohlad's would rather they keep him in the line-up and not have to pay him even though right now he is detrimental to the success of the team.
  14. I would bet 99% of the players on the roster would be thrilled to be traded, especially those in the prime of their careers. Money is important to them but the thrill of a going deep in the play-offs, a game 7 of the WS is probably something they have dreamed about since they were kids. I am sure Hicks, Berrios, Arraez and other or soon to be talented players inside were jumping for joy to go to a new team. Not just because this team won't likely make or go far in the play-off but the fact the Pohlad's don't care probably factors in. Now that the FO seems to be inept at recognizing talent it will be even harder to attract the good to great players
  15. When will the team get production from SWR and Austin Martin? Don’t hear much about them. Been 2 years since they traded one of the best pitchers we had. I know he wanted out but makes me wonder how much the FO recognizes talent.
  16. I was just as confused. My hope was if he got a hit or RBI(s) it could have built his confidence. One other thought is they thought Buxton was so good he didn’t need Spring Training. Now I think he was still injured and they tried to hide it so it wouldn’t affect ticket sales. Same could go for Correa.
  17. They have changed everything but Rocco and the FO multiple times. Not sure we can lay this on him. They obviously need more practice but motivation as well. I thought Correa would bring some of that. Arraez would bring a spark to this team. Watching the two highest paid players flop doesn’t help motivation wise.
  18. I loved Hicks. He had some personality like Arraez and a few others. We got absolutely nothing back.
  19. Desperate times for desperate measures . I would at least put Buxton in CF for a couple of weeks to see if it helps. If his body can’t take it then maybe he could medically retire or waive his no trade clause to see if a change of scenery would help. But sadly I think he may be done because something is very wrong it may be physical or mental.
  20. Why doesn’t the media ask questions or Rocco address the strikeout situation in the press conferences?
  21. Why was Lewis not starting? Why was Buxton sitting after only 2 days after coming back from the IL? Is there something more seriously they are worried about?
  22. Especially after last week when it looked like they were starting to click and Correa was amazing
  23. How about a simple explanation. Rocco was seriously out managed in this series.
  24. Culture to me is motivating leadership. Accepting this type of play is unacceptable. There are 3-4 players who should not see any playing time and a few that deserve to be here.
  25. The Pohlad’s have not said a word that I know of!
