Kriedler? Really? Why not Jackson or Jeffers..

Gotta make sure Jeffers is fresh and healthy when he files for free agency.

Gonna go with the Rangers.

My bet is Toronto. Even with their selling some at the deadline. The WINNER of the AL West could even be the team with a losing record, There could be 2 AL teams with a losing record. Chicago and the Central is no sure bet to finish without a losing record, either. And MLB even wants more than 12 teams to qualify in the future.

We have two lefties coming up, better not see Larnach anywhere near the batters box next series.

I get that even though I don't like the other options.  My main point if they are not going to sit Larnach for ERod or Jenkins they sure aren't going to sit him for Roden.

Buxton is healthy?

Is he on the IL, no he is not, so he is playing.  He is dinged up and has to manage the hip issue but it obviously is not injured enough to be on the IL regardless of what we may think or want.

Didn't look like it running to 1B

He's picking his spots of when to turn it on just like the other night on the diving catch.

That will solve all our offensive problems.

Can’t wait for Roden to ride the bench again so that Larnach can get his 7th year to prove he’s worth more than 1 WAR a season and so that I can watch Byron Buxton move like my grandfather

Speaking as a grandfather……I am quite jealous of your grandfather!😛

Needs to be on the IL or a part time player until or if he makes a comeback...regardless, I am just sick and tired of thinking he is still the star of the team. Ridiculous

We're all told at some point in time that we can no longer play the children's game, we just don't know when that's gonna be. Some of us are told at eighteen, some of us are told at forty, but we're all told

You can't just put someone on the IL, there has to be a verifiable injury, we all know that.  And  they are not going to sit him, he is the most talented player on the team.  And yes it stinks about the injuries he has had.  But he is going to be the focal point of this team until either Jenkins comes up and is able to have the mantle passed to him if he becomes the player they hope or they sign another superstar free agent.

I fell asleep with a 5-1 lead.

I'll take the blame for last night going south. (by the way, what i miss?)

Had i only stayed awake a little longer...

What did i miss in the two hundred new replies over the last 8 hours?

Clearly i'm to be blamed for being easily distracted today.

He didn't look healthy striking out on 6th inning either., Buxton should go on IL, he has zero power or speed in his swing because  his right hip and backside are bothering him.

Wink wink. It doesn’t take much to “verify” an injury. Or extend a 15 day stay.  Dead arm is an example. Verification of that is a pitcher just not “feeling right”, regardless of an MRI or other checks. Or a player saying my hip is still “not right”. Teams do it all the time. Especially those with talented depth. Dodgers are particularly deft at it. They do a lot of winking.

I don’t think I have ever seen Buxton get beat to first on a 5-4-3 double play and beat to second to start another one and the same game. He definitely didn’t book it to first. Yes, it appears to be choosing the rare spots now, like the great full out diving catch this series. If he was hitting and just giving up a triple for a double or a double for a single, it would be enough. But when he isn’t really even having good at bats, he is starting to hurt the team. Really a sad finish to a remarkable first 3 1/2 months. I feel for him. He must feel it, too. 46.5 million (Lopez/Buxton/Correa)  of the $109 team salary is a huge percentage to not be able to contribute.
