And who says that Jeffers wouldn’t sign a 3 year extension? That’s what the Twins should do.

Are you insinuating Jeffers is stupid and he has no Earthly idea a 3 year deal is the absolute minimum he'd possibly get in free agency? And if he's so stupid, the Twins should take advantage of that and sign him to a predatory contract?

Good to know! He has exceptional talent and the games I saw him, he was dominant. Yanks would have to include another top 20 prospect and hope this is a fluke injury.

Since when is a 3 year multi-million dollar contract predatory?  Honest question.  That's gonna be more money than 99% of Americans earn in 15 life times easily.

can Twins win a world series with current roster?   NO. can they reach playoffs? yes . can they get in playoffs w/o Ryan or Jeffers ? No.. and they would get no immediate impact players in a trade ..just prospects again.. that may or may not help in the future. so, IMO..just keep 'em both and lets play some playoff ball this September.. put butts in the seats . I would try to ship off some of our OF prospects especially Wallner..he's been given enough chances and i'd rather see Jenkins, Mendez and Gonzales get chances. Rodriquez will never stay healthy enough to matter

I’ve been saying Headrick and Lagrange for Jeffers. But if you could get Warren and Lagrange or Lalane for him you make that trade in a heartbeat!

I saw someone write here that Caratini and Twins have a mutual option for ‘28. If he opts in & Twins want to move on, the buyout is $3M. Assuming they won’t want him in ‘28 …… it costs $10M next year.

Trade him and keep Jeffers and combine their salaries for Jeffers new offer going forward, $16M for 3 years. Smooth transition to one of the newly drafted catchers……. Jeffers can DH more.

They paid Vazquez $10M/yr for 3 years.
