They think they can outsmart the system and get another 1-2MPH out of a pitcher rather than just drafting a legit Ace pitcher like they should have this year with Flora over Lackey. And they better draft one next year when they get another top 10 pick in the 2027 draft but I doubt they will.

Not a hot take: they are both useless! Both have allowed half as many ER in the total innings they have pitched and neither have good velocity to be starting pitchers. And whoever thinks it’s wise to pay Kremer 7-8M in arbitration next season for a team this is cap strapped when it comes to payroll is delusional even if they introduce a salary floor for 2027. The Twins need to trade or sign an upgrade for the rotation if they really want to contend next season.

No they didn’t. They were expected to be bad even if they didn’t trade Duran or Varland. No one expected the latter to become one of the best relievers in baseball and I do believe the Duran trade will begin to pay off next year with Tait and Abel taking steps forward. And they didn’t have Ryan or Buxton(their 2 best players) for chunks of the season.

Kremer and Ober both need to be gone next year. They need to trade Ryan for whatever top pitching prospect they can get for him. And there is no guarantee that Pablo will be ready to go next year. They need to trade for an upgrade in the rotation like Emerson Hancock. Their starting rotation, bullpen, and any of their pitching depth is nothing but uncertain going into next season.

He can keep waiting! He’s just Sano 2.0. Trade him in the offseason for an established rotation arm.

Who gives a crap about a draft pick that might help 3-4 years from now!? They could have gotten a ready now bullpen arm and another top pitching prospect for Jeffers. And now he walks for nothing. This team just continues to show how stupid they are with asset management. And you continue to waste our time with pointless articles like this one.

You may want to do more research and check out the last handful of starts by Gallagher. He should be called up in September.

I’ve been saying Headrick and Lagrange for Jeffers. But if you could get Warren and Lagrange or Lalane for him you make that trade in a heartbeat!

Jeffers for Headrick and Lagrange. You get a really good ready now lefty for the bullpen and another top prospect who can help the rotation or bullpen now as well.

Right premise but wrong solution. If the Twins actually want to be buyers then Hancock is the perfect trade candidate. However I’m not trading Lewis or Keaschall to make it happen. You could probably make it happen by some package of Jeffers, Rodriguez, and another top 20 prospect.

Once again you couldn’t be more wrong with your analysis and research for several reasons. First off the Twins don’t need any more position players as the top of their prospect system is filled with that. They need more pitching over anything so any deal involving Ryan should only be for pitching. Secondly the only team of these that fits this bill is the Yankees. Seattle doesn’t need anymore pitching and the other 2 teams don’t have the necessary pitching talent. However your deal with the Yankees is flawed too. Again the Twins should only be targeting pitching prospects so they should ask for a package that includes Will Warren, Carlos Lagrange, and Henry Lalane. You get an instant starter for your rotation, a prospect that could instantly start in your bullpen, and a third piece with the upside to develop into a mid-rotation starter or top end reliever.
