If you'd have told me after the KC series we'd be .500 I'd have said you're crazy and been delighted.

If you'd have told me after the Red Sox series we'd be .500 I'd be disappointed but not shocked.

It depends on the timeline we're talking about.

The longer that timeline, the more optimistic I become

If we're talking 2026, I'd probably take the over on the 69* wins I guessed coming into the season, but not much over

*Selling at the deadline was baked into this figure

Need a third choice - meh. I feel the same way I did at the start of the season which was this will be a 75 win team.

That's what some of us have been calling optimistic.  😁

I am optimistic about cashing my under 72.5 wins bet come seasons end.

Ditto, although I got in at under 74.5.

Much more than I thought I'd be after 23 games! As I've gotten older I've started to care less about championships & deep playoff runs - although both would be fantastic. I just want a competitive, fun-to-watch Twins team - and this group has been well above that bar so far this year.

Twins game are the soundtrack to a MN spring & summer. I'll always tune in, and always take my boys to 10-15 games a year so long as they're not utterly dreadful. Enjoying the squad so far this year!

So far I've also enjoyed Shelty much more than Rocco. I'm not an analytics denialist, but Rocco was just so robotic. I enjoy the more consistent line-ups and longer leash w/ starters. (Good riddance to 5th inning pinch hitters). Rocco sucked some of the fun out of it for me.

And I'll point out that the record so far doesn't seem to be a mirage. Our run differential (+14) is 9th in the majors. With a better bullpen, we'd have one of the best records as well.

I’m as optimistic as I was at the start of the season

I await the start of each season with hoping they do well; once it starts, I love baseball, I accept what happens good or bad.

I am thankful Minnesota has it own Major League team; 73 years of life has taught me getting overly distraught about things one has no control over is a waste of time.

Although, I still get gloomy remembering the 1969 season Super Bowl.

I'll be more optimistic when we begin to shuffle out the current core that has done nothing but disappoint since 2024, and usher in a new core of young, athletic players. I look forward to a potential E-Rod - Buxton - Jenkins OF later this season, and Culpepper at SS.

I don't know if there are enough younger arms since we stock piled AAA with 30+ year olds, but that would also be nice to see.

My ideal lineup would keep our core but replace some of the bullpen guys and call some exciting young prospects! I mean most of them are pretty ready! And there's no time like the present! Even houston should be ready soon!

That is very optimistic to think the Twins are going to do that. I’ll believe it when I see it. But, yes, that would be the way to go.

I am an optimist in life but when it comes to the Twins, the meter slips down to a hopeful at best. Always a poor plan but that's all I got.
