I can't see the front office letting this go on for too long. They will have to bring up the kids that are ready or they will lose the entire fan base. I am a huge baseball and Twins fan and haven't even turned the game on today.

I sure hope you're right!

Already 3 appearances for Funderburk in 4 games, obviously a small sample size but you know you have a bad bullpen if he's the guy they're going to use the most.

I’ve got nothing when it comes to young relievers. They should be up here now. As far as Walker Jenkins/E-Rod/Culpepper are concerned, it’s absolutely about service time. I don’t know when the exact date is, usually late April, they can get called up and have their 7th year of control secured.

They don't really have any young relievers ready at AAA, Raya has been a mess for a while and needs more time and I don't know what Klein's status is, the rest are hurt. The bats at AAA could definitely help, or at worst would start taking their lumps in the majors now rather than later. But they love to delay that to later on the regular.

Concur...what "young relievers?"

Not excited about the bats, either, except maybe Jenkins, but I'd rather watch them than tbis dreck.

I don’t know the ins and outs of why guys are called up or not, can any of you more knowledgeable posters explain why we wouldn’t just have the younger guys start in MLB instead of whatever you’d call this mishmash of slop? Is it service time/money? Experience? Bc this is ugliness and totally off putting as a looonnngg term fan.

spot on --  i would drop Larnach -Clemens - outman-  then send Lee to st paul keep Grey as backup and bring up  Jenkins- Culpepper and maybe 2 others , Saints top 5 are just as good or better than the Twins bottom 4-5  , who cares if they look ??  anything is better than this crap,  same with the bullpen  keep rotating as needed, , im more into watching the Saints than the Twins -  being Honest

Personally I would have Priellipp up right now as a reliever. And Raya might as well. But yea, after 9 years of building a pitching pipeline we still have jack squat to help in TC

4 games in 1-3 record this already feels like it’s a wasted season-something needs to change!!!

Well, at least they got it over with quickly - was that even 2:15 of game time?

Pretty close to that elapsed time.

And we faced three more lefty starters this week.

And we'll likely lose at least 2 of them, if not all 3.

Looks like Raya is the AAA closer now, he had a rough spring training after a bad season last year so I get it if they want to see him pitch well out of the pen at St Paul before giving him a bump to the majors.

Looks like Klein is being used as a long reliever, as he pitched 2 1/3 inning in relief. I'd just move him to full-time one inning relieving.
