In an effort to get fans in the stadium (and maybe buy back some good will), the Minnesota Twins announced the return of the Twins Pass and introduced a new limited time Buy 2, Get 1 offer.

Introduced ahead of the 2019 season, Twins Pass is returning for the eighth year. Most notably, the organization announced a price reduction to both the monthly and full season option. Previously $59 per month, the 2026 version of the pass will be only $49 per month (excluding a one-time $5 service fee). Though that doesn't include the home opener, if you were to attend the remaining 80 games, you would be paying $3.12 per game.

You can avoid the $5 fee and sign up for the season-long “All-In Pass” at a reduced rate of $229 (down from $325 in 2025), or $2.83 per game—including access to the home opener. As is emphasized on the Twins website, you’ll need to act fast to lock in this “special, limited-time” price. As has been the case in previous years, the Twins Pass simply gets you into the stadium. Once in the stadium, you have the opportunity to upgrade your standing room-only ticket and purchase a seat at an additional cost. It's worth mentioning that the Twins Pass does not include any season ticket-holder benefits, such as postseason priority.

If you're looking for less of a commitment but additional fan-friendly opportunities, you might consider the Triple Play Bundle. When you buy tickets to two games, you'll get the third one free—though there are stipulations that are important to know. Of the two games you buy tickets to, one must be of the “premium” tier, and the other is the “select” tier. Premium games include the Home Opener, Milwaukee Brewers series and Los Angeles Dodgers series, among others. Some of the games included in this package are interesting, such as Saturday, Aug. 29 against the Chicago White Sox. Might that be a giveaway or special event? It could just be because it's the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, but it's worth keeping an eye on that date.

Looking at the “select” games, you have options like the World Series runner-up Toronto Blue Jays, divisional foe Cleveland Guardians, or the hated New York Yankees to choose from. Once again, you'll find odd games included in this category, such as a game against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, April 18. To be clear, the suggestion that these will be special event games of some sort is pure speculation, but something has to be up with that Reds game. Once you've made those two selections, you don't get free rein over the rest of the calendar. Instead, you're choosing from a list of games not available in the first two categories—most notably when the Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox come to town.

Since the end of the 2023 season, Twins fans have had little to cheer for, on the field and off. From a reduced payroll and a trade deadline fire sale to increased prices and temporary uncertainty around their broadcasting future, it's been a frustrating two-plus years. However, these fan-friendly packages are a sign the Twins are trying to win us back…or at least get our wallets in the stadium.

This should be labeled as sponsored content.  I hope the Twins paid you for this.

I appreciate them spelling out all the stipulations so I don't have to click through on the website and find out it's a waste of my time.

Given the abominable attendance at Target Field, the chances you'll be stopped by ushers, even for some lower level seats is pretty low. I've had to kick people out of my seats endlessly from 2022-2023 (left field bleachers) before springing for club level in 2024 before the bait-n-switch payroll cut was announced. So, getting into the stadium is as good as having seats in non-premium sections if you're willing to occasionally do the walk/slide of shame. There's also the ability to reserve seats in Truly On Deck. The overlook seats are actually a very solid view, right above section 101 at Club Level height so there are ways to make Twins pass work pretty well for people as of right now.

Best season ticket deals remains the left field bleachers, row 8 IMHO. $20/game.
*Pros: Seats are always dry, no strong winds, shaded, a surprisingly great view of the game (you'll know immediately off the bat if it's a HR, etc), able to look up and see the monitor for close up views of replays.
*Cons: No ability to view main scoreboard. No cupholders, aluminum benches freeeeeeeeeeezing cold for temps below 60*, blind spot for plays at the wall, constantly getting up to let kids run down to the front to try and get balls between innings.

Twins games are no longer something I prioritize and schedule other things around, so these offers are of little value to me. I'm much more likely to check prices on StubHub if I happen to have an open weekend.

Gonna just scalp tix as usual when I go. Third base five rows from field tix after the first inning were had for $20 a piece last year depending on the opponent and pitching matchup. Would be going for the ballpark ambiance, not likely for the field product anyway.

Honestly at this point I'd go just to hammer a couple of the Bahn Mi brats from the Union Hmong Kitchen. So damn tasty!

Gotta somehow avoid dropping to 1.5 million attendance. Each one of these Twins Pass sales counts as 80 in attendance whether or not people actually use them!

How does that work, actually. If I buy a ticket, I can give it away to someone if I'm not using it. Can I buy a Twins Pass and give away the entries to the games I can't attend?

Q: Can I sell my Pass for games that I do not attend?
A:
No, passes are non-transferable and only available on the phone of the Pass purchaser.

Q: Can I share my Pass with someone else?
A:
Passes cannot be shared. Admission to Target Field will be managed through the MLB Ballpark app on your mobile device.

Okay, so useless to me.

Eh, how closely will the check that? I know Citi Field had a similar program and often times the SRO ticket I was buying on the secondary markets were from these plans.

Yeah, useless if you plan on giving the pass as a gift. Gets you into the game for only fricken $3 if you're planning on attending.

$3 if you attend all 81 home games.

$229 per game if you attend 1.

Somewhere in between if you attend somewhere in between.

That's what we call "land and expand" in the sales world. The Pohlads get at minimum $229 per person signing up for this. It's up to the consumer to determine what that breaks down to per time they use Twins Pass. Every time someone attends a game increases their chances of buying food/alcohol/merchandise on-site.

Yes, buying a pass to all 81 games is a lousy deal if you're going to attend less than 20. Buying a season pass to Valley Fair is a bad deal if you're going to go once.

In general, I'm sick of the whining about the cost of attending Twins games on this site from people who could come up with a list of excuses longer than a girl not interested in a guy that is asking them out.

Twins games aren't expensive to attend. The problem is they haven't been very fun to attend.

I'm not really the target market for either of those. I do Valleyfair every other year and Twins games have been about that often as well.

I don't think the cost is the barrier for me attending more Twins games. It's more about fitting it into the summer. There is so much else going on in the summer in Minnesota.

I have no idea about soccer prices, but I can say with 100% certainty that getting in the door at Target Field is the cheapest option out of the Vikings, Wolves, and Wild. I've gone to several Twins games last minute, and got in the door for $10-15. Brought in a Yeti full of ice, and enjoyed a game without spending another penny at Target Field.
