For me it's not just getting swept. The A's lineup is clearly much better than the Twins.

Yeah, that's what gets me. It's not Gasper, although obviously that's bad enough   It's that he very well might BE the best current option for the MLB roster. And there's been only 1 re

Say what you will, having 33 yr old Jose Urena start games for the rebuilding Twins makes SOOOO much sense.

It's not Gasper, although obviously that's bad enough  

It's that he very well might BE the best current option for the MLB roster.

And there's been only 1 relevant injury.

I mean, according to the "experts," it is the least scouted position of any player, and you rarely find good primary catchers.

Gaspermania....does it really make a difference if he is catching considering the state of this team? By the time they face the White Sox, we will be seeing the two bottom dwellars in the AL face off against each other.

Yes. Yes it does.

The C situation would be the same if the Twins were battling for the division.  The issue is piss poor GM performance. That's not excused because your team sucked elsewhere too.

 

It's also worth remembering that while there's an offseason of course upcoming  as of today we're looking at next year's C duo too.

As bad as the Pohlads, situational hitting, bulk games all are.. it was just delightful to see the fans reactions and Pablo's too.
