Vasquez is a horrible base runner. He actually thinks he can make a difference on the bases when all he does is makes outs. This is where I have a huge bitch with Rocco - this crap has been going on for years and he apparently doesn’t do anything to stop it. He needs to be in his grill and let him know that if he thinks he’s Rickey Henderson he isnt going to play. Ultimately Thats is the trump card any manager / coach has to play.

Yes and Yes. Idk about the pitching outside of Ragans, I honestly think the Twins as a starting unit can best them. I think KC is going to struggle to score and we know all too well how hard it is to consistently win games that way. They're pushing two full games (spanning the last 3) without scoring an earned run right now. SSS yada yada but that bottom half of their lineup looks putrid and even with positive regression it doesn't look like a group that'll impress in any way.

Another over-40 baseball tale--  That play reminded me of coaching 1st one time- the batter who'd just reached base was a bass player in a hard rock band, who said he was deaf in one ear from being next to the drummer for years.   I told him, "Stay close to the bag, this guy's got a good pickoff move."

He turned toward me and said, "What?"
