They’ll get the game in. Supposed to be light drizzling the rest of the day. At least that’s what I’m telling myself as I’m 10 minutes from starting my golf round.

I didn't know the specific area of the strike zone as determined by Major League Baseball, so I went to MLB's website today and found this, which has been in place since 1996:

“The Strike Zone is that area over home plate the upper limit of which is a horizontal line at the midpoint between the top of the shoulders and the top of the uniform pants, and the lower level is a line at the bottom of the knees. The Strike Zone shall be determined from the batter's stance as the batter is prepared to swing at a pitched ball."

That may be common knowledge here, but this was news to me. I'm still looking on the site for the legal proviso regarding Angel Hernandez's strike zone...perhaps that was removed after his retirement.
