Not going to be too hard on the pen. Although I think Thielbar strikes out Baez if he bounced one up there. And the defense wasn't exemplary.  It was bound to happen at some point.

I just can't believe Rocco was like bottom 9 we gotta make sure Santana and Wallner get up, my two hottest hitters combined they hit like .150

Regretfully, if you're looking solely at batting average, Miranda's .154 (after the AB) and Wallner's .083 are both improvements on who they were hitting for.

yeah I don't mind Miranda for Vazquez feels like the same hitter, both make contact relatively often but with not great results. But Santana and Wallner right now I don't know if there's anyone on the AAA roster I wouldn't pick over those two

But against this team? Really hard to give up 4 runs in one inning to this club.

What I don’t get is why Rocco went Stewart, Thielbar…instead of Thielbar, Stewart. The first two guys Stewart faced were lefties. Basically, can’t pitch pitch Thielbar against right-handlers except in the very lowest of leverage.

OK. I get Wallner but Miranda for Vasquez who already homered today. What happened to the hot hand? Oh well. On to Baltimore

This. Thought for sure Thielbar would come in and face Carpenter. Very odd decision by Rocco or maybe it isn't odd considering his track record.

I guess when Buxton gets a day off, he gets a day off.

Buxton needs to wake up at the plate with Correa and Lewis out. That narrative last year about not playing in the field impacting his hitting, it's looking like pure nonsense.

Royals lost. Guardians won. So 3.5 out.

This week will be interesting.

Royals get the gift of White Sox.

Tigers get Texas before going to Minneapolis.

Guardians go to Boston.

My goal would be 9-11 or 10-10 at the 20 game mark.

Could he be injured?  Maybe using him sparingly to avoid an injury?

Perhaps and maybe he does need more time to get into a groove but he just looks utterly lost right now. And they can't afford him to be an automatic out.

Ohhhhh.... you've activated the Baldelli apologists. Be prepared to be told how wrong you are.

I'm sure everything is fine here. 😆

Guessing, or did you see something stated?

He told his momma and I he was flying to Baltimore tomorrow a.m. Don't know the corresponding move so I won't speculate.

LOL. They can’t afford most of the lineup.  It will be a long season if they don’t wake up soon

Robbie Grossman, 2016. I've never seen anything that bad, Margot isn't even in the realm of that performance.

Was that the year he made two errors on the same play? (Or at least could've been charged for two.)

I'm pretty sure that was the one. He was really bad ONE YEAR and was a pretty meh fielder in all other years. It's one of the most inexplicable performances I've seen watching baseball.
