  1. Giolito? Yes... let's make watching this team even less desirable.
  2. I guess signing a power hitter meant, signing an aging vet that hits .235 with 18-20 HR.
  3. 100%. I would have preferred the guy from the Yankees simply because he comes from a winning organization and the team could stand an infusion of winning culture. It couldn't hurt. But, you're right. No matter who they hired people would've complained.
  4. I'm not referring to the stadium or location. I'm referring to the fact that they lost a lot of fans today. Fan attendance will drop. Payroll will drop accordingly. Free agents won't want to play for owners that blowup teams. Not that they'd sign them anyway. These are steps toward moving a team. Go elsewhere, I'm not in the mood to debate with nitpickers today.
  5. This might not even be the lowest point. People will boycott. Free agents won't sign here. This could be the next Oakland A's.
  6. I agree 100%! Half of my ire came when they decided to cut payroll after the most successful postseason in 2 decades. The other half came when the team still managed to compete going into the trade deadline last year and the FO sat on its hands. That was demoralizing. This August Eve Massacre sucks, but the current crop had already checked out. They were flat and inconsistent long before the Rockies series. But, the fact that Falvey got bullied on nearly every trade sucks. The only trade I am okay with the return on is Taj Bradley. The Twins helped out a lot of teams the past two days. This fire sale better help sell the team. At least it opens up playing time for some of the "kids" and they didn't sell off the SPs. I guess there is that.
  7. I like the concept of Correa, more than Correa himself. The idea that the Twins could sign a big name FA. Selling him and rebuilding has me back in that perpetually gloomy fan mindset that unless something changes with the economics of the game, this team will always be in rebuild or semi-rebuild mode. What fun is it running out all these prospects if they pan out and the team becomes competitive, and too expensive and then they're shipped off to larger markets? I'd like to think new ownership can bring bigger pockets, more creativity to building a contending team and finding revenue streams, but I'm doubting that's ever going to happen. I've seen some lean years from this team, but this is the lowest I've felt since becoming a fan in 1988.
  8. Twins 3B coach is such a f-ing moron. Been doing this crap all season.
  9. I stepped in a Rocco that someone carelessly didn't clean up after their dog left on my yard the other day. Hard to get it all off my shoe.
  10. Yeah, wish there was better news than this, especially in '87 and '91. What bummers of seasons.
  11. You didn't have to write this. But... you did. *sigh*
  12. Roflmao... Bluesky? Really??
  13. I get it, you're bored. It's probably going to be another boring Twins offseason. But, you still didn't have to write this.
  14. Go home trash can bangers, and take your bush league bean ball artists with you.
  15. 100% and the hate for Bauer is absolutely silly.
