  1. Yeah, I agree. Stating that Giolito isn't awful because he had relationship issues and couldn't handle being traded and they should still sign him because these things are in the past is very "Wow". Twins should avoid.
  2. Dear God, no.
  3. I'm optimistic that he'll figure it out. Though I'm not sure where that optimism is coming from, other than he seems motivated to continue on a Hall of Fame path. Hopefully his body is willing and he's more productive at the plate going forward.
  4. You tell me. You're the one making excuses for the guy. He's been garbage for the past two seasons.
  5. This is the way I see it too. If Buxton is healthy, it'll be a nice bonus. But, I'm not optimistic and I'm certainly not counting on him for any set number of games or productivity in those games. I'm pulling for him though. Would love to see just one full and healthy season to see what he could do. But at this point it's not only health, but age as well that might keep us from ever seeing that.
  6. Makes me wonder about Correa too. No way that guy is fully healthy.
  7. If Giolito is the answer, just let one of - or a combination of - the young guys have it. Then use the money to find some hitting help. Giolito is not good.
  8. Need an impact arm in the post-season to form a 1-2 punch with Pablo. Otherwise, don't even bother and focus on internal options and upgrading the hitting. I agree with whoever said it in here; Wacha does not move the needle. I want someone that I feel good about pitching against the Astros. And you know the Yankees will improve their roster.
  9. Personally, I'd like to see them spend. Now is the time to invest in this team. I'm not a huge Blake Snell fan, but that's the sort of arm I'd like to see as their #2. If Sonny wants to return, great! Rather see him at 3 and Joe Ryan at 4. Then whoever wins the battle of Varland/Ober/Paddack at 5. Paddack looked outstanding out of the pen. If the velocity sticks, I'd be fine with him as a bullpen weapon.
  10. This is great news. I would like to see Sonny back, but definitely would like to see him more as the Twins' 3 or 4. Meaning, I am hoping that they can pick up another very good arm to form a 1-2 punch with Pablo.
