Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Not going to be too hard on the pen. Although I think Thielbar strikes out Baez if he bounced one up there. And the defense wasn't exemplary. It was bound to happen at some point.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 No matter the outcome, walking Wallner to face Julien is DUMB. RpR and danielp19653 2

jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 It’s hard to believe you can lose when one of your 12 players played so well.

But Santana and Wallner right now I don't know if there's anyone on the AAA roster I wouldn't pick over those two
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Yesterday, a lot of positive vibes. Today, none. That's baseball though. Gotta manage to win the series in Baltimore and come home for two very winnable series. danielp19653 1

Really hard to give up 4 runs in one inning to this club. What I don’t get is why Rocco went Stewart, Thielbar…instead of Thielbar, Stewart. The first two guys Stewart faced were lefties. Basically, can’t pitch pitch Thielbar against right-handlers except in the very lowest of leverage. Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1

OK. I get Wallner but Miranda for Vasquez who already homered today. What happened to the hot hand? Oh well. On to Baltimore

Very odd decision by Rocco or maybe it isn't odd considering his track record.
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Also, Baez should not have seen a pitch that wasn't bounced to home plate. Three run lead. Don't even come close to the zone. Unforced mistakes across the board today.

Buxton needs to wake up at the plate with Correa and Lewis out. That narrative last year about not playing in the field impacting his hitting, it's looking like pure nonsense. Schmoeman5 and RpR 2
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Royals lost. Guardians won. So 3.5 out. This week will be interesting. Royals get the gift of White Sox. Tigers get Texas before going to Minneapolis. Guardians go to Boston. My goal would be 9-11 or 10-10 at the 20 game mark.

Perhaps and maybe he does need more time to get into a groove but he just looks utterly lost right now. And they can't afford him to be an automatic out.

I've never seen anything that bad, Margot isn't even in the realm of that performance. Was that the year he made two errors on the same play? (Or at least could've been charged for two.)
