USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Gaddis threw 1 strike to our 3 and 4 hole hitters combined with the bases loaded and the only run we score is on a passed ball. Aggies7 and CRF 2

Guest Guests Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Maybe Baldelli needs to incorporate the wild pitch as a team offensive strategy.
LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Another fine Kepler AB. Thank goodness for the wild pitch. Kepler needs to be hitting 7 or 8, not 4. I'll throw in today's hot take - DFA Margot, option Wallner, call up Keirsey and Larnach, play Kirilloff at 1B, put those two in the OF.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Thankfully we now have Margot in the lineup for a key late inning AB. RpR 1

Hopefully they find a groove. I think it took a bit for Corey and Gladden to hit their groove. If I remember correctly, he was pretty respectful to Gladden as the senior member of the team and Twins "legend" at first and I feel like their rapport got a bit better when he became less deferential and didn't take Dan's gruff (although he was able to do that in a good-natured way).
LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Poor Pablo. Leaves down and is followed by Funderburk and Sands. Chances of holding the line se we can come back? Not so good.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Two innings from Funderburk. No hits and only 2 walks? Seemed like it was four times that number of baserunners he was responsible for. I suppose that wasn't too bad of an outing. Defense blew the run when he was on the mound. RpR 1

LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Funderburk's line looks much better than his pitching. He did not look good at all. USAFChief 1
RpR Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I wonder if in modern times, there was a team that at some point in the season had no one batting at .200 or above?
Guest Guests Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Seems like quite a few comments busting Funderburk’s balls. Not sure I understand: two innings no runs. What more do you want? Well maybe he could get a bat and get a hit!

Like at all. Selfish teammate swinging at everything. Get him out of hte middle of the order And please for the love of god DFA Margot. Buxton has been one of this team's best hitters this year. Bad day today, but his strikeout rate was 19% before today. Funny how everyone else gets criticized for NOT swinging at enough pitches and Buxton here is getting criticized for taking cuts. Overreaction. There are other players to lay this load on. SD happy 1

Guest Guests Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Funderburk delivered results. How many batters with RISP can say that. Oh yeah, this is baseball where process of results. Is what is important.
LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 At least Correa can hit. We need to get him up with men on base. Hard to do when he's hitting behind a guy hitting .077 with an .077 OBP. Danchat 1

RpR Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Once again Twins are swinging at crap, or watch ball down the pipe go by. AT that, this umpire will call near any low pitch a strike.
LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Abd Santana strikes out by swing at Ball 4 twice in a row. This is exciting baseball! I just don't understand why this team doesn't draw better attendance. . .

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Look Rocco. Margot's up in a key spot, facing a late inning RHer. Who could have predicted that?
