Not sure about Duran here.

But, maybe not a bad idea. With the options left, there’s enough of a likelihood that they will turn it into a save situation and you use him anyway. And with Duran’s hiccups lately, it may be a chance to get back on the horse. 

(And I’m not sure I want to be a Pittsburgh hitter right now, knowing that your pitcher just plunked two guys and that threat of getting even is out there.)

Duran only threw two 4 seamers (according to Gameday), the rest were curveballs and splitters. Gave up the hit/error on a hanging curve. But he escaped with no damage done, hopefully a mental re-set. Hopefully for Jax as well.
