Aren't ideal leadoff batters suppose to take a few pitches to let the following hitters see the pitchers' stuff?

Unless they get something to hit 101.5.

Going to Twins games in LA next week v Dodgers and Angels. How can I find out who is TV color guy for Twins that trip?  Wife likes Justin and wants to wear his jersey if he is there.

Arraez did it really well, but he didn't hit 40 HRs so the FO got rid of him.

And now a contact hitter is the one thing this team desperately needs

My issue is less that he jumped on the 1st pitch, but more that he got something to drive  and he dribbled it out to short. Can’t barrel anything right now. He needs to work on that in St Paul me thinks

Yup. Or maybe two. I'm glad to have a few homeruns, but the strikeouts are really frustrating. And the homeruns mostly going to be solo blasts if no one can get on base.

Oh come on. The FO didn’t ‘get rid of him’. They traded him. Like the trade or not but let’s stop with this kind of inflammatory rhetoric

Not inflammatory at all. They got rid of him, deciding that he was expendable in order to get a good starting pitcher. We can't know what other deals were possible or whether Arraez was unwilling to extend or all the other things that were going on behind the scenes. But the fact is they got rid of him.

I haven't made it a secret that I hate boring baseball, and that's what the FO's computer says they have to do. That's one reason MLB changed the rules this year to try to encourage less boring baseball. But the Twins are still playing tactically by the old rules. I can hope that they will adapt and go to more of a speed-, fielding-, and contact-based approach next year. If you disagree with me, you can hope that they look for more "true outcome" players and enjoy homerun derby. All a matter of taste.
