Buxton getting knee scoped

Buxton is going in and having arthroscopic knee surgery next Tues to "clean up" whatever is wrong. Hopefully, they don't find anything more serious than just a clean up procedure. If all goes well, he'll be fine in plenty of time for spring training next year.

I was wondering when the surgery\ies were going to start. I hope everyone that needs surgery gets it done early and has a 6 month recovery period to be in much better shape next year.

Injured injured everybody's injured.  And . . . Trevor Larnach who was out with core muscle problems has a sore wrist. Jorge Polanco continues to have knee inflammation. Max Kepler still has a sore wrist. Tyler Malle has shoulder inflammation and won't return this year . . . and so forth and so on.

Buxton should have knee surgery last July.   Sigh!

My brother had a more serious surgery & he was playing golf within a week. I know that pro ball is much vigorous than golf but my brother was 2x his age.

My question is, couldn't he had this surgery last July? And what would the actual down time be?

To answer my own question, I think they recomend around 6 months to return to hard work or sport. So they made the right call.

My aunt had a wart removed from her knee when she was 98, and she died shortly thereafter.  So I feel I can state with confidence that the Twins have screwed this one up, yet again.

Sano had his knee scoped in early May and began his rehab assignment July 4. Using 2 months as a timetable, Buxton should be able to resume baseball related activities around Thanksgiving, probably when he starts his off-season program anyway.

Buxton is saying now, that he and the team knew he needed some kind of procedure/surgery on his knee back in April. If you remember, he initially hurt the knee on a slide into 2nd base.

Against Boston I believe?
