Our Minnesota Twins have had a largely up and down season. There have been winning streaks, unforgettable moments, injuries, and other ********

They currently stand at 67-61, 1.5 games behind the first place Cleveland Guardians. They seem to have caught fire as of late, winning 5 of their last 6 games against the San Francisco Giants and Boston Red Sox.

As we roll into the month of September, the Twins have a crucial 10-game stretch ahead of them which involves a 4-game series in New York, sandwiched by a pair of 3-game series’ against the Cleveland Guardians and the Chicago White Sox.

This stretch will have a major impact on the final standings when it’s all said and done. The Twins are hot right now, but they have not fared well against teams above .500 this season.

How do you think that the Twins will fare in this stretch of games?

I will share my answer:

I think the Twins’ bullpen additions will allow them to win both series against their AL Central rivals, go 4-2 combined.

I’ll give them a game against the Yankees but no more.

The record in those 10 would therefore be 5-5

I will go 5-5 but would prefer to go 6-4 by winning both series against 'Sox and Guardians and splitting with Yankees who by the way are not world beaters right now. Root for Os tonight so margin will be 1 game when all of this starts.

I can't guess anymore. They win when I think they'll lose, they lose when I think they should win ...I'm hoping for 7-3 or better, but won't be surprised if it's 3-7 or worse

I am not sure, but without question, the Twins will get the Yankees back on their feet when they go out there. Whether that means they sweep us or take 3 out of 4, this is almost a given IMO.

Yankees could be 20 games below .500 and the Twins would still find a way to be scared of them.

I'm not 100% sure of the matchups but looks like they'll get Cole (that sucks) and miss Montas (that also sucks) but will likely get German and someone called Schmidt Clarke, or Clarke Schmidt? They're winning one of those games.

Sweep the Sox and two of three from Cleveland.

Playing meaningful baseball games in September!!!

Every Year... This is what I ask for... I have received.

I'll go with the odds... 6-4

5-5 ... I think I'm being optimistic, but that seems to be about what they do ... There's a decent chance the White Sox boot one into the W column for the Twins.

I picked 5-5. If they do better than that, I'll be pleased as punch. They're coming out of the funk a little, but they still aren't looking like world beaters yet. They need to kick it into gear the next few weeks.
