Kris Atteberry doesn't seem to realize that the nickname of the team in Japan is the "Fighters" and that they are owned by Nippon Ham. He just referred to them as the "Ham Fighters."

Grilling ham steak for dinner tonight.  Smithfield not Nippon.

I think he's just joking. You know, hamming it up a little.

I'll see myself out.

You can win with him…could certainly do worse. But as 3rd basemen go, he’s not particularly valuable offensively. Ranked at/ near the bottom of the AL in WRC+ among qualified 3B (granted, several clubs don’t have a qualifying 3B).

As a complementary piece, usually hitting 8th, fine.

The problem with the Twins is there aren't the primary pieces for the middle of the lineup.

Absolutely…with this roster, for 2023, you’d probably like Miranda to be capable over there, and have a true slugger at 1B…(not to mention DH)

That's what I'm talkin' about!!!

A pitcher that is ready to be a baseball player. Fielding the batted ball instead of thinking you are done after you pitch the ball.

GO JOE RYAN!!!

Phew. That's enough for today from Ryan.

I am listening to the radio feed and just checked the box score…. I had no idea Ryan gave up only one hit! Feels like he’s been on the ropes all game….

I have a slight leaning toward keeping, to use as you suggest. If they don't, I'm probably okay with that. The challenge is that they have to make the decision before having a full sense of their ability to sign alternatives.

Two singles and 65 pitches for a guy who would have trouble getting the St Paul Saints out.  WTF?

I doubt that’s true

Count that run now. Barely fair, stolen base (of course), and ground out, runner to third. And Megill with a runner on third and one out.

Probably first batter and the run in........ IRS is not relief.

Glad to be wrong.... so far.

Spoke too soon. Hit batter and stolen base, and relief adds to the pain, not just gives up the IR.
