If that question isn't entirely rhetorical...

WPA is context-dependent, and we've eased up on Pagan's leverage a bit lately (more than the Padres and Rogers so far, anyway).

gmLI (average game-entering leverage index) per Fangraphs

Rogers: 1.90

Pagán: 1.58

By the context-neutral WPA/LI, Rogers is still an above-average contributor.

I’d argue that Taylor Rogers is doing fine overall. Definitely coming back down to earth after his hot start. His late June slump was probably a blessing for him, as it earned him a rest over the All Star break instead of having to lather up and pitch. They are certainly working him hard. A lot of his other struggles could be attributed to pitching back-to-back days, which any Twins fan could have told you…
