Hilariously enough he is still arguably our best pitcher outside of Duran.

Sands was horrendous as a starter.

If Smeltzer isn't painting the black AND getting some favorable calls, he's just not capable of being effective. 88-89 mph top velo just ain't gonna cut it. He's a middle reliever at best, not a starter.
