I know right! I’m not very creative and that’s the first place I went

And the Astros manufacture a run. The Astros lineup is good, but Ryan has been far from sharp, and he is really, really slow home out of the stretch.

Astros are playing solid situational baseball and its given them 2 runs without much hitting.  Verlander looks the same as always. Tough night for the home squad.

2-0 does seem like 6-0 given the opposition pitcher and the Twins lineup.

I assume that's it for Ryan's day. He wasn't terrible and didn't get hit super hard (.204 xBA), but he a. walked hitters b. didn't put hitters away like he usually does, and c. couldn't hold runners effectively.

Agreed. Going into today, the Twins had issued the fewest walks in the American League. They trailed only the Dodgers.

That is certainly part of it, but I timed two pitches (it was far from scientific research), and his time to home was 1.65 and 1.73. Those are not very good numbers if they are actually accurate within a tenth of a second.
