The good thing about the really bad April and July the Twins had is that they make very likely that the inept baseball they're playing tonight won't matter to the outcome of the season.

Can somebody help me out here? I thought I just heard Bremer say the Twins' starting pitching should be the least of their concerns next season, and my brain tried to punch itself in the brain.

Pohlad could give Falvino an extra 100 million and MLB could let them pick any 5 SP prospects from the rest of the league and we would still have to be concerned.

I also heard Bremer say the Twins may have to reconstruct their pitching staff.  Duh! Do ya think so?

I like the way they wake Wes Johnson up, in the dugout.  Wind him up.  Then send him to the mound.  His first words on the mound, "OK, now fill me in"

Two things can make an error look worse than it is... costing you the game, or being one of four (or five, or six, or... uhh, how many innings are left again?) more errors.

Twins have a great shot to do both.

Jax totally missed his target. Low and outside and he gave it middle inside and was crushed for the go ahead run. Still, 4 errors, and only 2 earned runs. Not bad. Baldelli has these guys focused and playing the field with aplomb ...

Yup.  Like much of this season, the only good news is that it won't matter this season or next.

Simmons made the throw that got the 3rd out on the 3rd base line, not Arraez who should have been there.
