As long as we don’t clobber them with ceramic phallic symbols, that’s where I draw the line

You prefer some other material?

I think the team of Kaat and Bremer could work out.   Bremer likes to act dumb, and Kaat has the answers.

Good nite, everyone.  enjoy your barbeque ribs, beer and vodka soaked watermelon.  Baked beans simmered in bourbon is good too.

If I were the Twins, I would take the field tomorrow night with pink gloves.

? What's that mean?

The closest color to skin.  Today's game our pitcher had to change gloves; too close to looking like the jerseys and pants.

Pink came to mind, as it could blend like skin.  I guess I could have typed peach, or whatever.

What do you read into using the color pink?

I guess one could say it stand for supporting the fight against breast cancer, but that was not the intent.

8 out of the 13 Twins players today aren’t white so maybe that terminology doesn’t really make sense in modern baseball (or life, I’d argue).

I watched that Larnach play 10 times and I have no idea how he was out. Foot was clearly on the bag before the tag.

I don’t think any of them are pink

No, but the color is most closely associated with one skin color. White people also aren’t peach colored, but that word is used to describe them all the time.

Pedantry doesn’t really contribute anything. We all know what everyone here is referring to.

I was just making light of it, I don’t see what contributions are made arguing about skin color

Nor do i believe the rule is based on skin color. It is to eliminate undue distraction to the batter.

If color is mentioned, it is likely to keep something from resembling the ball, or being too loud visually.

If you ever happen to watch martial arts displays, some weapons have  flamboyant tassels hanging off the handles to distract from the pointy end.

Alcala's skin is nowhere close to pink.
