Morneau discussing strike zone is spot on. I've been made fun by my bar mates watching baseball and me @2007 talking about using lasers for strikezonze. I had some knowledge and knew  umps were screwing the game. 14 years ago. Now the same people who mocked me are screaming about the strike zone. Just glad to hear Morneau  make mention, because it's out of control

I love the "but the umpire is consistent" when he is calling it wrong. Right. That just makes him more wrong. More wrong never equals OK or right.

Please don't tell my JV baseball players this ? This is my rationale for them to stop focusing on the umpire/strike zone and to focus on what they can control in the game

Kirilloff misses the meat right down the middle with no movement. Why can't we smash their "mistakes"?

I love that the Royals got a triple play turned against them because of a bunt, but Polanco lays one down and we're like THATS WHY YOU BUNT?

They're pulling Ober at 51 pitches? I guess he was on a strict pitch count... I was hoping he could go 6 or 7 today. Can't expect this bullpen to hold this lead down.

Only makes sense if Baldelli is your manager, I guess. Goes great with the rest of the decisions that make no sense.

Farrell gets a K. Doing good. Better pull him.

Oh.... that's right.... has to pitch to 3 batters.

Did I see Celestino running off the bench and calling for that fly ball?

I must be seeing things.....

That's gonna add another 10-20 minutes to every game with the way challenges currently go... these challenges would have to be near-instant.

Yup. Or, they could go with Robo-Ump , like they're doing in the minors. Works great, and they're finding out some surprising things!

Farrell looked really nice so far. Dare we hope that one of our bullpen experiments is finally working out?

Didn't you previously acknowledge that he was getting tagged when in the strikezone??? Can't have it both ways.

Ober was getting hit pretty hard. Needed a triple play and Simmons playing behind second to avoid multi-run innings. FYI, he threw 80-some pitches in his first start.

So far looking like a good decision.

Kirilloff OPS now under .700

His slugging is 200 points lower than his xSLG. He's pretty consistently hit the ball hard. The hits will come.

He hasn't hit a HR in 5 weeks, I wonder if the wrist is still bugging him?

Hopefully. That is the plan. But nobody knows to be real. Did you miss the discussion on air about his lack of hitting it hard since his return fom the IL?

Kirilloff has looked sketchy in all parts of the game today. Base running, in the field, and at the plate.

I didn't miss it. Did you miss the 104 mph lazer he hit to left field immediately following that comment?
