The Twins last regular season game is scheduled for October 3, which is the same day that Oktoberfest ends. So barring a season-ending injury, no, he won't be home.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Twins had a coach, in the 70's I think, by the name of Frank Crosetti. He was a little guy who always seemed to be ticked off. He would hit fungos from the first base line to the outfielders in left field, before the game. Us kids, would beg him to throw us a few balls. He'd scowl and tell us to go away. One day after hitting fungos, there was about 10 of us kids, yelling at him for some balls. He didn't look or yell at us, but proceeded to foul off about half a dozen balls directly behind himself. I'll never forget that.

From playing along side Ruth and Gehrig to hitting fungos in Metropolitan stadium, pretty cool. From wikipedia: It has been said of Crosetti that he has waved home 16,000 runners in 25 years in the third-base coaching box.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Things Twins can't do for 11 consecutive games: 1. Win all of them 2. Hit .250 3.Not put 1/4 of the starters on IL 4. Rest and recuperate, fully 5. not make an error 6.Keep Garver under 8 passed balls.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I stand by my statement. It might take us more than 11 tries, but i'm confident we'll get there eventually.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Who knows the unwritten rule about bringing a pitcher back out after a rain delay? Is there a particular window of time?

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 That really stinks. Hoping for Alcala to be trustworthy late in games and he seems to fail an awful lot
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 It will be interesting to see if Cruz values the tie over the lead here.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 This umpire has been brutally inconsistent both sides
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Can’t expect a veteran to move the runner with no outs. Let’s swing out of our shoes
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Just awful. If he doesn't swing and foul off that high 2-2 pitch, he can take that for the walk.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Why is garlick the most clutch guy on our team
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Garlick would like a word with all those apoplectic he made the team over Rooker.
