I thought that promo was for beer?!?

You'd think so, but nope.

The discount lures people to Shoe's starts, and the extra beer at regular price sold to despondent fans makes up for the lower gate receipts.

2012 Liam Hendricks lines up well with the ERA/WHIP/lack of strikeouts. Also somewhat close to 2013 Vance Worley and PJ Walters.

Ah! The infamous Vance Worley! I remember him well. Unfortunately. PJ? Doesn't ring a bell. Hendricks of course went on to bigger and better things.

Trey Mancini misses 2020 due to a cancer diagnosis, and now he's back hitting .870 OPS and leading the lead with 41 RBIs? Dang, that's impressive!

I kinda feel like that fact doesn't get enough play.  That's an incredible story that he's got.

And for anyone else looking ahead to the upcoming calendar for a home game to attend, Shoemaker's next start will feature Replica Civil Defense Air Raid Helmet Night:

I wonder if shoemaker is catholic. If so, he needs to go to confession and tell the priest he stole money again this week in the form of salary.

I would say Vance "Vanimal" Worley went on to bigger and better things as well, being a consistent poster on the award winning Twins Daily webpage.

Why do I have a feeling were going to be No-No'd? I'm an optimist usually. Hopefully after I post this I look like a fool

Good work! Your jinx worked much quicker than expected!

To be fair, it doesn’t help that Shoemaker’s had to match up against a hot Giolito and now Means in his last two starts. He was actually fairly effective against Chicago.

Usually not knee jerk, but I just had 'that feeling' glad I was wrong and can think about winning and not getting no-hit

That ball stayed hit too.

Really? I never made the connection. Sorry, Vanimal, but I took the $50 Lesson On the Evils of Gambling on one of your games. The one and only time I ever wagered on a baseball game.

A lesson well-remembered.

I only tuned in for last two innings and it’s very reassuring that Baltimore is still awful. Shoemaker isn’t lighting the world on fire out there and the Orioles still look hapless. P

Means is good though

Donaldson now in the .230s for BA and .700s for OPS. about 30 points in average and 100 points in OPS lower than his career lines. And how about the recent defense?

The disappointing aspect of that is that the Twins aren't exactly lighting them up despite this though.

12 minute half inning to watch Shoemaker's artistry, and 4 minutes for Means.

One cannot rush such a masterpiece!
