h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Duffey is so regressed. He's got nothing. Can't even go for a double play because of that f upped shift.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Duffey's new floaters are getting in the was of his mechanics.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Who can we blame for Duffey sucking like this?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 That's our star 92 mllion dollar man. Just can do half the star job now.

insagt1 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 there is a total sameness to just about every game this year. Our starter only goes 5 maybe 6.Our pen is routinely giving up the winning runs late. Our hitters just cannot drive in runs. And they all strike out way too much. For some reason, once we see a runner at 2nd....instead of trying to cash him in with a base hit, they all swing for the fences. We already have left 12 on base today against the worst team in baseball. Why Cave is still playing beats me? He out-Sano's Sano with his terrible AB's. There is no reason why this game is tied. Twins just can't get the key hits Oh check that. Duffey in with the late inning gascan and suddenly its 3-2 Detroit. Wash, rinse, repeat...no matter who the Twins bring in, in a close game...they fail. Hard to come up with different words to describe this season so far.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 We can blame Baldelli for several (imo mostly minor) mismanagement in games but when every reliever he puts in the game lights himself on fire the moment he steps on the mound, the manager can’t do anything about that.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 I agree with Brock, there’s gotta be some bad chemistry between these relievers. Pretty much every reliever forgets how to pitch when the game is tied or when we lead. We’ve seen every relievers implode in key spots, it’s comedic at this point.

Can't be an apoligist for Donaldson. If you don't complete the play, the stop means nothing. Glad you liked it. There have been several of those lately. Scored two anyway. Double play didn't happen because of the shift earlier. Twins baseball is so smart.

Twins baseball is so smart. The stop means nothing, except for the part where it prevented another run from scoring. Donaldson has a +2 DRS in 20 games. That’s a damned good fielder, whether you want to accept it or not.

Wes got a lot of credit for fixing pitchers. Does he get credit for breaking them, too? Almost all the pitchers have regressed with Wes watching now......
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Keeping up via Gameday while multitasking on a couple of other things and... wait, what? Tigers STILL batting in the 7th???
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 This is what people who predicted 95 wins look like today

The out would have meant everything to this inning. Glad you liked it. When you get paid that much, you need to be great and finish.

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Crazy, every game, Watched alot of Baseball in my years, and this is the awful , What can be done ? its past helping!

Even if he cleanly transferred that ball, an out at home or first was far from guaranteed. It was an extremely difficult play.
