LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Still, 68 pitches through 6, hope Jake is watching
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 What's your call now? call to the bullpen?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Cave just made 2 outs in the same inning. Bet that doesn't feel greatTying a record held by many.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 call to the bullpen?I believe Maeda is nowhere close to 100 pitches, so I can't think of an indicator saying to pull him. Let the bullpen be spectators for as long as possible, in a laugher.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 What did I miss?2 Buxton home runs? Um, a few walks, a few runs. A little of this, a little of that. Some organ music. I forget, has Chief told the 50 year old joke yet?
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 2 Buxton home runs? Um, a few walks, a few runs. A little of this, a little of that. Some organ music. I forget, has Chief told the 50 year old joke yet?Nope. Fell asleep
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 The hits keep a'comin'!
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Agreed! Some Bach would be great! Not purely correct because it's synthesized but this is one of my favorites. I've thought that Eddie Van Halen should work up a guitar solo of this.

snotboogie Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Some organ music. I forget, has Chief told the 50 year old joke yet?A 50 year old joke would be from 1970. I remember 1970. Oy.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Thorpe? How is he still here
Darius Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 This game is just what the doctor ordered. A couple of hits for Garver. Buxton continuing his breakout into superstardom. Sano with good ABs and a HR. A good start from a starting pitcher. It’s time to get Buxton up near the top of this lineup. Dude is on fire, showing everyone that doubted him why he was so highly touted. I still remember Thrylos demanding a trade to make room for Zach Granite.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Love Maeda getting the 7th. Right move! Still get 2 innings for someone to get work in.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Only reason he doesn't go 7 is to get guys work, IMO. Though it was mentioned limiting the Brewers seeing him more since his next start will be against them. Though if they’d pulled him after six, he would be more likely to come back Monday against Kansas City.
snotboogie Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 I don't know. I still think I like to watch Buck running around the bases more than chasing down a fly ball.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 A 50 year old joke would be from 1970. I remember 1970. Oy.My collection of 1970s albums caught fire. It was a Disco Inferno!

bighat Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Get one out here Lewis. Give Maeda the QS.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Darn, Maeda almost got 7 innings. But still a great outing, and hopefully Thorpe won't immediately let those two runners in...
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Virtual standing ovation for Maeda
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 My collection of 1970s albums caught fire. It was a Disco Inferno!I would have burned them in the 70’s

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 hopefully Thorpe won't immediately let those two runners in...He didn't!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Fantastic outing from Maeda. Exactly what we needed after throwing a bullpen game yesterday, and it helps that the offense ended this one early
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Burn, baby, burn! (I like disco music)I went to a karaoke bar yesterday. It was 70s night but they didn't provide any lyrics, it was all by memory. At first I was afraid. I was petrified. But I survived.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 The Brewers might as well bunt on the first pitch. They want to make it home at a reasonable hour.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 BTW, anyone catch the recent report that Hill is looking and feeling great and chomping at the bit to get back on the mound?Good news! Yes. Good news. I’m guessing one more bullpen game next Monday or Tuesday, with Maeda pitching the other. The next time through, it will be Hill. Has there been any word on how they plan to use Pineda? Assuming health, I could see either a couple rounds of six-man rotations or adding him to the bullpen mix. We’re now more than halfway through the 2020 portion of the suspension.
