70charger Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Somebody needs to sacrifice a bucket of chicken to Jobu or something.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I thought Thielbar's fastball was around 94-95 (with his new approach/arm slot)? So far between his two appearances I've seen 89-91. He didn't even throw that hard when he was actually a decent pitcher for a year and a half.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 A lot of early runs tends to do that I guess.Sure they do, but last years teams would burry teams when they got up early. This team (sans the one game in Chicago) has yet to do that this year. Seems like they are content being up 3 or 4 runs, and tries to flip a switch if/when it is needed again.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Are you thinking of 2014?Was he thinking of a different Caleb Thielbar?
blindeke Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Sano did not swing at that pitch and they did not show a replay.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 How many ground balls to the right side are Twins hitters going to hit tonight?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Offense hasn't put together many innings after the opening weekend.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 4 outs to get a run... Let us go!

Not exactly the gauntlet
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Good thing Donaldson has his batting gloves and bat handy...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Offense hasn't put together many innings after the opening weekend. It’s the royals bullpen, man. I think I see Al Hrabosky out there
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Why does this feel like this game is being treated like a throw away game? Well Smeltzer started, Thielbar pitched, Cruz is on the bench, Arraez is on the bench, Sano is the 3 hitter...
70charger Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 This has been a frustrating game. All it'll take is one inning to turn it around though...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 It’s the royals bullpen, man. I think I see Al Hrabosky out therethe mad Hungarian.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 This has been a frustrating game. All it'll take is one inning to turn it around though...We can do it!
bighat Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 You have to PH Cruz for Adrianza, right? If they tie it up, Gonzalez to 3rd and Arraez comes in at 2nd?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 the mad Hungarian. What makes him mad?
bighat Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Well Smeltzer started, Thielbar pitched, Cruz is on the bench, Arraez is on the bench, Sano is the 3 hitter...Garver's in instead of Avila.... Okay that was a bit nasty, I'll slap myself on the wrist for that one.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Garver's in instead of Avila.... Okay that was a bit nasty, I'll slap myself on the wrist for that one. Well Sano is batting less than .150 and Garver less than .125...
bighat Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Well Sano is batting less than .150 and Garver less than .125...Sano is striking out at a 50% clip so far too. Or 49% at least, to start the day.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 LOL. Morris didn't know scoring rule for extra innings, either. Way to take your job seriously, Jack. Great respect for your audience, too.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 What makes him mad?Mrs Hrabosky.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 What makes him mad? Flies in his goulash?
