Game Thread: Twins vs. Detroit 5:10 PM PST (7:10 PM CDT) 8/23/2019

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Looking like a tough loss but two things to ease your concerns....

1. They are about to enter into the easiest portion of their schedule

2. They WILL trade for pitching help

Nothing to worry about

And there it is!  Smalley: "I haven't seen a pitcher with as good of stuff as VerHagen tonight."

Roy. Please. We're not stupid.

Good one!

[Blake]

Cave has been the only bright spot today

I'll take, "comments I never thought I'd see on TD for $500, Alex."

[jz7233]

See! Arraez swung at the first pitch. That's what Twins hitters should do early and often.

[Aggies7]

Roy: “you have to be impressed with the tigers pitching tonight”

Do we, Roy?

[operation mindcrime]

SANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[USAFChief]

Well, those 2 runs in the top of the 8th are pretty big now.

[IndyTwinsFan]

Pretty sure that was sarcasm

I'm sure it was, too. Nice to dream sometimes, though.

[Danchat]

So I technically predicted that Arraez hit - Sano HR sequence in my last post, right? I think I'll take credit for that!

Half way there...

[ashbury]

SANO !!!!

I never feel as though this team quits.

Sano, a fading superstar...

[Aggies7]

There’s that superstar demeritte again

[HawksNest]

Should be tie game if Rocco would have pulled Romo so he didn’t have to face the lefty

[MNT1996]

Well at least the Tigers don't have Greene any more

[Mike Sixel]

All the bad Sano sucks threads haven't aged well... I can't believe people doubted him.

[jz7233]

Same thing, Sano swung early and got a good pitch to drive! I guess Sano learned from his early strikeout. He looked at couple hittable pitches and swung at low curveball outside early in the game.

[ScrapTheNickname]

Who had cave catching that

Not Cave.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

What was the mileage on that one. Another one he crushed.

[Aggies7]

FFS put a first baseman at first base

[MNT1996]

I would think that Harper is kinda on thin ice right now. He's been giving up a lot of well hit balls lately. If he continues to falter he might be replaced by Graterol or Alcala.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Not Cave.

It did have a “hit it right into his glove” feel to it.

[HawksNest]

Adrianza continues to make a mockery of first base

I'll own that I thought he should be sent down.

By the way, crow tastes just fine, as long as you find someone else to eat it for you.

[USAFChief]

Not even Cave's mom.

ftfy.

[jz7233]

Rocco does not have it. Gardy might do better there.

[MNT1996]

Yeah Harper is not fooling anybody any more

[Aggies7]

I just can’t anymore. Abysmal defense. Abysmal
