bighat Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Way to manufacture that run, boys! Rosario, Garver, Arraez well done!
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 ARRAEZ getting the job done!!!!!
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Productive outs, moving runners, is what this team is all about havent seen much small ball from the team that leads the majors in home runs
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Gibson being interviewed Cleveland leads the inning off with a double! Get this jinx off the air!!!!!
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 So question of the day... Should Arraez be our leadoff hitter? Not prototypical in terms of walks, but he takes good at bats and has such a high average that the OBP is over .400... I think so. Just slide everybody down a spot in the order. 1. Arraez2. Kepler3. Polanco4. Cruz5. Rosario6. Sano7. Cron8. Gonzalez9. Castro Makes a lot of sense.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Berrios is so mediocreCan’t call him Ace, but can we agree on Deuce?

Arraez has batted at the top a few times this season but why mess with things that have worked (Kepler at top, etc)
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 shift cost us a run there.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 It'd be nice if we didn't give runs back
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Really despise the shift... i might be wrong but it seems like it has hurt us more than helped
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Can’t call him Ace, but can we agree on Deuce?third at best
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Puig has a .564 career average vs. the Twins... that's what they just said on TV...
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Really despise the shift... i might be wrong but it seems like it has hurt us more than helpedwhy would you pitch outside if you’re shifting the hitter to pull
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Really despise the shift... i might be wrong but it seems like it has hurt us more than helped The shift is fine provided your pitcher throws pitches located where being shifted won't hurt him. If they're stacked on the right side of the diamond, don't work the outside portion of the plate where someone could slap it through the hole.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I remember Berrios said he wanted to be a 20 game winner. Selfish attitude if you ask me.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 that was ball 4 to Kepler, not strike 1.
sftwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Bad 3-0 call there, nice to see the poor umpiring is continuing in this game. Sick of all the balls called strikes in this series.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I hate how Cleveland always seems to have good starting pitchers
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I remember Berrios said he wanted to be a 20 game winner. Selfish attitude if you ask me. How is that selfish?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 that was ball 4 to Kepler, not strike 1.yep and that call forced him to swing at the high 3-2 pitch
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 How is that selfish?he makes it about him, what’s his attitude now that 20 wins is out of reach
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I hate how Cleveland always seems to have good starting pitchersi hate how the Twins always seem to have bad pitching all around
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 We might see more of that next season. Arraez has batted at the top a few times this season but why mess with things that have worked (Kepler at top, etc) I hear that. It's small potatoes either way.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Once again, it just feels like the team is going through the motions, no energy, no edge. Been this way since Monday's walk-off against the Braves.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 he makes it about him, what’s his attitude now that 20 wins is out of reach Oh, I don't know, maybe being a 19-game winner? Why shouldn't a pitcher strive to win 20-25 games or have 200-225 K's? That's called being a shutdown pitcher and being the ace of the staff. You're setting goals to be one of the best pitchers your team sends out there every 5 days. I wanted to see how you backed up your assertion before I cemented my opinion of the original post. Your explanation did nothing to change it.
