Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 Man, I haven't seen Twins fans this negative in a long time. This is ONE game.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I believe it was said earlier that the Yankees have zero wins thus far against teams above .500. At least for another hour or soYou are correct, but they've barely played anybody with a winning record. They've played a combined 5 games against Houston and Arizona and lost all 5.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Interesting to see how the Yankees are using Ottavino here. Put their best man in the game in the 6th & likely 7th inning, giving the Twins little chance to make it close before the 9th. Hey, here's Morin.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I ****ing hate seeing Ottavino pitching against us. We should have signed him. The fact that he makes about the same salary as Reed is an indictment on this FO.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Twins just released a sneak peek of tomorrow’s unis Edit: at least my negativity is funny
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 On a positive note...extreme sarcasm...my tablet keeps stalling out so I have to watch the game in my phone and play here on my tablet. Talk about a poor night!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Twins just released a sneak peek of tomorrow’s unis Edit: at least my negativity is funnyI was entertained! Thanks.

bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Man, I haven't seen Twins fans this negative in a long time. This is ONE game. Minnesota Joe Twins fan has been thinking about this game all day. Blew off that cute redhead in accounting for a cozy night in front of the tube. Maybe left work early, stopped off and picked up a few brats. Grilled out, filled up that paper plate with so much potato salad that the plate bent when they carried it to the living room. Cracked open an bubbly beverage just as the pregame ended. Put up their feet, relaxed....and the Twins promptly laid an egg in what is possibly the worst baseball game of the season. I think we all know it's just a bad game. But I think the swirling negativity is probably just a reaction to what appears to be a Friday night wasted.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Good job, Morin. Now let’s get some runs back this inning.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Your moment of refreshing positivity: Mike MorinAdmit I was hoping Reed was finally getting his shot. (Then he had a bad game). Don't have numbers in front of me...frankly feeling too lazy to look them up...but as I recall didn't Morin have a couple really solid years before injury?
luckylager Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Mornin looked competent. That's a good take away from all this.

Why didn't he ask the red head over to watch the game ... then, when things went south ... etc.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 The Twins are interesting this year. They're watchable. They are going to get beat (maybe not like this) nearly as often as not.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Why didn't he ask the red head over to watch the game ... then, when things went south ... etc.oh, they went south, all right... (Too much?)
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Otto has incredible stuff. I definitely like a lot of what the FO has done. But this . . . .100% Don! Really wish Otto...or again 1 of about 5-6guys...were on our club right now. Call me crazy, but a month from now, I HAVE to wonder how the pen looks with Romero settling in and Magill settling in both. I know it's a different discussion, but I have this crazy/hopeful thought Johnson is going to take Magill's mid 90's FB and slurve and find greater consistency.

bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Twins gonna get 2-hit tonight. Rocco brought the "B" lineup, Gibby slow as molasses, this team is sleepwalking through this game. We need La Tortuga back. Someone with a little fire who gives 100% for 9 innings.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Well, crazy hopeful thoughts are why we’re still here.Yep. Baseball reflects life. And I don't mean what base you end up at. [Wink] Tomorrow is another game/day!
