Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Gibson having to deal with some really bad fielding tonight.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 What in the heck is happening. Awful defense.Whats happening is that the game is taking place in New York and our team wets it’s pants here regardless of the records
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I don't care what the Twins record is. If you get intimidated by a team from New York you don't deserve a second in postseason play.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Let’s get another double play here.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 This is a poor excuse for a baseball game.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I don't care what the Twins record is. If you get intimidated by a team from New York you don't deserve a second in postseason play. They couldn’t possibly be intimidated by the likes of mike Tauchman.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 How many of these runs are unearned?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 This crap might be tolerated if it was against any other team.
gocgo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I thought initially that the Yankees looked afraid of us....and then they realized that we are still afraid of them. Well, I hope we bounce back strong from this clunker.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Pray for rain Sunday and perhaps they’ll escape with only two losses
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 How many of these runs are unearned?Should just be one earned run so far
David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Ahhhhh.... nothing like consistency. Just tuned in to the game, in time to see yet another typical Twins/Yankees tussle. 1- Twins get screwed by the ump. More than once. 2- Then, incredibly stupid plays in the field gift the Yanks even more runs. Well done, boys, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Good grief.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 On a positive note, the Twins need just 3 more outfield assists to set the major league record.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 How many of these runs are unearned?3
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I don't for one minute think the Twins are afraid of the Yankees. They are just playing badly. Happens.
gocgo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 How many of these runs are unearned?Has to be 3.
David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 AAA yanks looking pretty goodAAAA Twins looking pretty bad.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I don't for one minute think the Twins are afraid of the Yankees. They are just playing badly. Happens. You’d have a point if this sort of thing hasn’t been happening since the bush administration. Maybe not scared, but surely psyched out
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Garver isn't seeing the ball well at all as well as guessing wrong I've got a feeling we're going to see a few more of these regressive stretches like we've seen from him and Eddie so far from other guys
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Yep. Half this roster is new and couldn’t care less about the Yankees. It’s just a bad game. But it is kind of amazing that regardless of either roster, time of the season, team standing, win streaks, they ALWAYS play bad games here. Almost 20 years of it is kind of a trend
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I don't for one minute think the Twins are afraid of the Yankees. They are just playing badly. Happens. Agreed. Half of these guys weren't on the team last year, and the holdovers from last year (Polanco, Rosario, etc) aren't scared in the least. This is just a night where everything is wonky. To be honest, I think Gibson's slow work on the mound sets the team off balance a bit. Maybe. It certainly bothers most of us, I don't see why it wouldn't also bug the guys in the dugout.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I don't know how you can watch this game and not think that the Twins are just scared of these guys. Pathetic.
