What in the heck is happening. Awful defense.

Whats happening is that the game is taking place in New York and our team wets it’s pants here regardless of the records

I don't care what the Twins record is. If you get intimidated by a team from New York you don't deserve a second in postseason play.

I thought initially that the Yankees looked afraid of us....and then they realized that we are still afraid of them.  Well, I hope we bounce back strong from this clunker.

Ahhhhh.... nothing like consistency.

 

Just tuned in to the game, in time to see yet another typical Twins/Yankees tussle.

 

1- Twins get screwed by the ump. More than once.

 

2- Then, incredibly stupid plays in the field gift the Yanks even more runs.

 

Well done, boys, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

You’d have a point if this sort of thing hasn’t been happening since the bush administration. Maybe not scared, but surely psyched out

Garver isn't seeing the ball well at all as well as guessing wrong

 

I've got a feeling we're going to see a few more of these regressive stretches like we've seen from him and Eddie so far from other guys

Yep. Half this roster is new and couldn’t care less about the Yankees. It’s just a bad game.

But it is kind of amazing that regardless of either roster, time of the season, team standing, win streaks, they ALWAYS play bad games here. Almost 20 years of it is kind of a trend

Agreed. Half of these guys weren't on the team last year, and the holdovers from last year (Polanco, Rosario, etc) aren't scared in the least.

 

This is just a night where everything is wonky.

 

To be honest, I think Gibson's slow work on the mound sets the team off balance a bit. Maybe. It certainly bothers most of us, I don't see why it wouldn't also bug the guys in the dugout.
