bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Adrianza, Gonzalez, and Castro - no Buxton in center and the turtle in right - against Verlander in support of Stewart. Not enough that Stewart has to pitch against the Houston lineup, eh? Good Luck, Kohl. You will need it. Yeah not too thrilled about this "getaway day" lineup. If you're going to play Adrianza...play GarvSauce at catcher. If you're going to play Castro, at least take Gonzalez out of the lineup, etc.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Boy does Stewart work slow. If he keeps nibbling like this it's going to be a long night for this kid.
Dman Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 OK inning one out of the way. Lets hope Kohl finds a groove.
Dman Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Boy does Stewart work slow. If he keeps nibbling like this it's going to be a long night for this kid. If he keeps throwing 20 pitches an inning he is going to have tough time making it through 5 innings.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Terrible call on Rosario's check swing there.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Is Stewart pitching? Who got sent down/DFA’d for the roster spot? he was a bad seed
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Verlander going right down the middle to get both Cron and Gonzalez.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Verlander going right down the middle to get both Cron and Gonzalez. Kohl copied and got what he deserved
bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 What a band box - between Minute Maid and Yankee Stadium I'm not sure which is more of a whiffle-ball park. At some point MLB should put restrictions on just how short these dimensions can be. Heck, Rosario even hit a lazy fly ball the other day that went out.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Kohl copied and got what he deserved So..... is it a mistake if the batters (Cron and Gonzalez) don't get a hit? Or only a mistake if they take it out of the park (Correa)?

We just skirt with a few miles over here and there and hope we don’t get caught. Verlander didn’t get caught, Stewart did.

Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Castro has an .823 OPS.How long does he have to be on probation for his injury ravaged 2018?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Does Stewart look shorter than 6'3" to anyone else?

"I liked how I pitched. I only made those two mistakes. The rest was just great...." And no.... only speeding if you get ticketed. The rest is driving with the others in the flow.

Dman Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Seems afraid to throw Bregman a strike tonight.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Where was Polanco backing that play up?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Castro has an .823 OPS.How long does he have to be on probation for his injury ravaged 2018?All year, I would think.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 But you always hear from the pitchers..... or the managers.... "I liked how I pitched. I only made those two mistakes. The rest was just great...." “I never speed” is code for “I never get caught”

bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Ooof, wheels coming off. At least the Audra Martin got a ride on the train.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Why wouldn’t Verlander be throwing a perfect game?
bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 This was never going to be anything other than an L Pretty clear the Twins rolled over and gave this game to the Astros last night as soon as Altuve hit that HR.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 They do?Yep, but the quiz above might prove the rules are a bit pliable http://m.mlb.com/glossary/rules/field-dimensions
