I know Polanco’s not in the lineup today, but I find it interesting that Rocco is having Kepler lead off, instead of batting him 3rd, 4th, or even 2nd. Could this be a sign of things to come?? I mean, his walk rate is much better than Polanco’s (11.6 > 7.5).

Spring training statistics are meaningless, but it should be abundantly clear by now that Buxton is going to finish as runner-up to Kepler in the league MVP voting.

I'm going to drink some of the spring fever koolade and say that this is a sign of that big breakout we've all been hoping to get from Max.

He has a nice swing for sure. Perhaps one reason the Twins are betting on a breakthrough with Max

The press and team make a big deal about prospect invites to spring training, but then we see half the teams fielded in spring training with guys like Pat Dean and players from other orgs trying to catch on. It really isn't a big deal at all.
