Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 And that's what you get for using Neil Ramirez in the 9th in a tie game!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 People love to point out when Wilson's defense supposedly wins games. .. I prefer Garver and the known good offense
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 It's too bad someone wasn't closer to the Injuns in the standings because we own their damn teepee this year and it would be great to be the reason why they don't go to the playoffs.
slash129 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I think the whole Realmuto idea can be flushed, if it hasn't already. Probably was never more than a local concoction anyway.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Not a bad job for a 9th place hitter.......

I prefer Garver and the known good offense[sarcasm alert] Please Molitor, don't start Garver at catcher again. We simply can't win with him In the lineup. And he offers no hope for the future.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 If someone asked me what the Fernando Rodney experience is, I'd tell them to watch his last inning. It might have to do with Rodney's "max effort" throwing technique. Because he's throwing the ball as hard as he can, his command of the change can come and go depending on his level of fatigue, or feeling too strong, etc. Contrast Rodney with Trevor Hoffman, another closer that used the heck out of his great change-up. Hoffman's 90-94 mph fastball was not a "max effort" pitch, which might have helped him with his command of the change, allowing him to drop his change in the low corners with great consistency.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I wonder if Rodney throwing 97-98 mph fastballs by Ramirez and Alonso convinces other teams he still has his good stuff and gets someone to pull the trigger on a trade for him.

Probably was never more than a local concoction anyway.Considering the asking price to the Nats is Victor Robles and Carter Kieboom, yeah, I have no interest in seeing what they would want from the Twins. (Lewis and Romero, likely). Plus...Garver!
